25 reviewsWe arrived at night and we thought that the hotel was very far away from everything but in the morning... we saw that we were very wrong. The hotel is very very well located. Temples like kodai-ji, Yasaka Shrine and many others are at very short walking distance. (It might take more than 10 minutes because while walking there are many little shops and locals wearing kimonos... everything is very cute and nice and clean) The rooms are acceptable and you sleep in futons, like Japanese people 😊. There is also a sink and a toilet with many buttons. Unfortunately there is no private shower in the room. Not even in the biggest room in the hotel (301). There is a public bath though. The bath is like a spa with a sauna, three little swimming pools at different temperatures and many showers. (These are not private though... they are next to each other). The good thing though is that it’s usually not very crowded. I went 6 times to the shower and found people only 1 time so... is not that big of a deal! (Its open almost 24h) Talking about service; they are amazing! They want you to feel like at home and do everything they can to make you feel like it. A very important detail is: coffee, hot/ice cocoa is free which is amazing. (There is a machine) and the free wifi is amazing!! All in all, considering that it’s not a five star hotel, the experience was wonderful and relaxing! Thanks!
