The hotel is elegant and the service is exceptional. The room has devices that make life so pleasant and easy. You want the curtains drawn? Jist touch the links in the iPad beside your bed. You want to losten to music woth great sounds? Connect your Spotify to the Bose Soundlink neside your bed. And the bathroom offers fantastic amenities. It doesn’t just provide combs — it provides a decent hairbrush that soothes your scalp. It offers these soaps and shampoos that are so lovely to the skin and hair. And the bed — it’s huge that is firm and extremely comfortable. Oh those pillows! I love them.

The Okura Tokyo

We have been guests at the Okura for almost 20 years. It was always a landmark and the service was warm, efficient, professional. After the full renovation and the completion of the Prestige Tower they have reached a new level. The renovation has respected the simple, elegant, discrete and quant luxurious style and its 60s touch. 
The hotel is very big but you don’t feel the crowds except for the taxi line when there is an event. 
The reception is quick, efficient and professional. Bell service is the best I have experienced in any luxury hotel so far. 
We were at the prestige tower and the sobriety of the decor does not diminish in any way the luxury and comfort of the rooms. We stayed at the 30th floor and the views are breathtaking. The room is much bigger than the average 5 star in the city and much bigger that what you normally get say in NYC. The bathroom although a bit small doesn’t give the impression of being tight because of its intelligent layout and shower-bath area with a large window. 
The beds are comfortable and the cleanliness is impeccable.

I will make a separate comment on the Teppanyaki Restaurant, I will only spoil it a bit by saying it was fantastic.

Zen Luxury and Elegance Flawless Service, I. The most elegant neighborhood of Tokyo

We stayed four nights at the Okura and three nights at another 5-star hotel and I wish we had all seven at the Okura. The service was exceptional. I think it was the best service I've ever received in any hotel in the world. We arrived and an army of staff took our bags from the car. We were shown to our rooms which were enormous by Tokyo standards (or really any standard) and there is staff all over the hotel who just want you to feel comfortable and welcome. The Concierge team was of great help to me before we arrived and while there. The breakfast buffet is large and will cater to a number of tastes - even picky Western children will find a few things to eat in the morning. One evening we used the pool which is large with lots of places to lounge and relax. Cabs were readily available outside. We did not take the subway because cabs were so easy to pickup. The room provided everything we needed - toothbrushes, shaving cream, combs, etc. If we used anything it was immediately replenished the next day. The lobby staff are so well trained. They made us so comfortable each time we walked through. We loved the takeaway food right outside of the breakfast restaurant and found it much more appealing to eat on the train than the options at Tokyo Station outside the Shinkansen. I truly struggle to find fault with this hotel. Everything was so perfect. The most I could come up with is that you have to get up and your own glass of water at breakfast, the staff only brought us coffee. Really, that was the only thing I would change! I can not wait to return to Tokyo and stay here again. Truly a pleasure. We were in the Prestige tower and on the 32nd floor I believe.

The best service, the largest rooms, I think this is my favorite hotel in the world

Wow what a wonderful experience.Stayed in the heritage wing. Understated luxury with a refined japanese elegance. The room was restful filled with many amenities including a free minibar. The hotel breakfast buffet had plentiful offerings and a great way to start the day. Loved the museum on site. They were great about getting us checked in at noon.
Service was spot on. Concierge very helpful in making dinner reservations. Close to many stations.

Perfect way to start our trip

I would also like to thank the Okura Tokyo publicly for their great help when my 86-year old brother was suddenly hospitalized on our nostalgic trip to our childhood homes. To Assistant Manager Yoshihara-san, who organized the admission to the hospital and waited until 2 a.m. for me to get back from accompanying my brother,  to concierge Junko-san who spent hours on the telephone to cancel his flights and arrange for new ones, to the staff who packed up his clothes and stored his luggage, to the Front Desk personnel who helped in any way they could. Thank you to you all for your assistance above and beyond the call of duty.

Exceptional in All Categories

I posted a longer version of my review somewhere else but TripAdvisor forbids me from linking to it. As such, I cannot provide pictures.

But to summarize, this is a gorgeous hotel with excellent beds, an iconic lobby, eye-popping views and exceptionally competent and efficient service. The restaurant and beverage pricing is a touch aggressive, but the dishes are typically worth the splurge. Most importantly, it is hard to put into words just how relaxing this hotel manages to be (critical in a busy city like Tokyo). The rooms are elegant yet residential, and were clearly designed very thoughtfully. Not to mention, the showers are great! Whilst the hotel's distance from the subway lines is a small drawback, there's quite a lot to do in the hotel's immediate area. The Okura is a landmark of Tokyo for a very good reason.
