Enjoyed my stay here - it's close to the main shopping street, but far enough away to be away from the noise and bustle, and a short walk away from the nearest monorail station. Had a private room that was spacious - though as is typical for these type of rooms, a tiny table. No tatami floor, but wood paneling instead. Clean sheets, towels, and one of those sticky lint remover things (but used to clean the floor) are provided (self-service) every 2 days. Only complaint is that for 5 rooms, there was only one toilet and one shower, and for some reason the bathroom sink had no hand soap (though the shower has bath gel and shampoo). Also is a small kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, and kettle.

good clean place in central Naha

The staff is nice and welcoming. The hotel is about 15 min from Naha Airport (monorail) and 7 min from Kokusai Dori. The room and the common premises were clean and really calm. I recommend this cheap and nice Minshuku!

Very cheap and good Minshuku.

Wifi was available & worked. The view was nothing to write home about, but the location was great. There are a few alleys that go all over and make trekking back to the hotel a breeze.

I suggest getting portable wifi to use GPS, which made finding this place quite simple. It's really just up the road from the metro station, and after two turns your there! It takes about 5~8 minutes to walk to.

We arrived early and were able to leave our bags at the front; though they were right inside the door, the owners have to unlock the door to let someone in who has no key. I would've liked it better if they were in an office, but it is what it is.

The room was spacious, though sparse. It had a sink, microwave, and a few items to cook food if you want. There were two futons with cushions, a pillow, and blankets. I was able to get a second pillow from the owner at night. My biggest complaint would be sleep quality, but that's because I'm used to a really soft bed. My wife, on the other hand, can sleep on a slab of wood, so she slept quite fine.

There are plenty of vending machines around if you need a quick sip of something at night and the neighborhood is very quiet and safe (to me, anyway).

I'd consider this place again were I to return to Naha; the owners were nice and helpful, and I think the location was excellent for being a bit out-of-the-way.

There's also a laundry machine for 100 yen. AC is 100 yen per 2 hours. Fair enough.
I loved it and if I come back to Naha I will probably stay here again!

Just perfect

Minshuku Getto is located about 400 metres walk from Kenchomae monorail station (walk up the hill past Kokusai street, past the Irish pub, take a left at the second traffic lights and then left at the small laundry and you're there). It is in a very relaxed, quiet area above the main areas of town, but just 5-10 minutes walk to Kokusai street.

I stayed there a total of 5 nights (2 nights and then 3 nights two weeks later). The place is a good price (3,000 yen) and simple, but a very good simple (I wrote 'basic' to start with, but that would give the wrong impression). Some rooms are tatami, some wooden flooring. There is a fan in the room and a TV. AC costs extra - 100 yen for 2 hours, 200 for 4 hours, etc - but I didn't need it at the time of year I stayed. Everything is very clean, there is a sink, fridge and kettle for basic cooking/drinks outside the room as well as free help-yourself tea and coffee in the entrance.

There is a washing machine on 3rd floor (100 yen) as well as a dryer, but each room - I think - has a balcony with a clothesline.

Wifi was excellent.

Getto really is a nice little bolthole. I have stayed in 3 different places in Naha and it is - by far - the best of the three. It is reasonably priced and near the centre of town but peaceful. The hosts are attentive and friendly, offering help and advice on local events. I was particularly grateful because they agreed to receive and hold on to my bicycle some days before I arrived in Naha, and then kept the box for 2 weeks while I travelled around. Today the owner spent nearly two hours helping me pack the bike up again while his wife was very solicitous when the Transport company came to pick it up.

If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet, no-frills and no-hassle place in Naha... you have found it. :)

Quiet, clean, friendly & very helpful

I was staying here many times ... Perfect location, simple styled rooms, very clean, good value for money and above that owners are very nice people !!! Exactly what you expect. I can only recommend to everybody.

Simply THE BEST!

I booked with the Minsyuku Getto through booking.com, and immediately, the property owner messaged me asking if I had any questions, and if I would need a parking space.  I was very pleasantly surprised by the quick interaction!  

When we arrived in Naha, we had a HECK of a time finding the place.  We aren't usually too bad about that, but for some reason the map we were using was just terrible.  Not to mention ... no one would/could help us out.  We asked a taxi driver for assistance, and they wouldn't even drive us there!  That was irritating.  So do the best you can beforehand to get good directions.  It's really not hard to find at all once you know where to go.

Upon our arrival, the hosts were very very friendly (even though we were a little late) and invited us to sit in their living room as we discussed our activity plans and then the payment.  They were so friendly and helpful - we told them we wanted to take a ferry the next day to Tokashiki Island, and the host explained the process and also called us a cab very early in the morning while his daughter was on her way to school.  I loved seeing their family interaction; it's one of my favorite parts of staying in a family run place.

As for the room, it was a very nice private room.  We were up a few floors and the rooms were accessible from the outside.  The rooms we chose had a mini kitchen which was very nice.  We love buying snacks from the Family Mart so the fridge was a plus.  My only complaint about the room was that there were not enough blankets/they weren't padded enough so the floor was very hard.  I didn't sleep all that well.  

We stayed in April, and the weather was so-so.  Cooler than we expected and rainy almost the whole time.  It was very nice been located so close to Kokusai-dori for lots of shopping and eating.  The shopping reminded me of a Japanese version of Myrtle Beach, but it was fun in it's own right.  Anyway ... I would definitely stay here again if I were to come back to Naha!  My biggest regret is not staying longer.  Okinawa is a big island and there is a lot to see, most of it far away from Naha!
