Ureshino is a small onsen town located about 1 hour drive from Fukuoka. I parked my car at the car parking next to the hotel and the hotel staff rushed out to help carry my 2 pieces of luggage. And they are not light luggage. Once seated inside the lobby seating, the staff would formally welcome the guests with sweets and tea. It is a classic onsen hotel with new looks and feel.
My classic room is a 15 tatami sized room which is very spacious. Inside the room there was a local specialty, a milk pudding waiting to be enjoyed. Outside the window there was so much greenery. The mini bar area has almost everything you need, dripping coffee, tea, hot water, ice water, and bottled water. The hotel provides guests with 45 minutes of complimentary use of a private onsen. And there are a few good private onsens to choose from.
The main onsen is ordinary, more a modern style with tiles and lights, not particularly impressive. On the one side of the lobby, the hotel store mimics the Meiji era stores with lots of nostalgic merchandise. Dinner and breakfast were arranged in the restaurant, with each group of guests seated in a partitioned room. The waitress serving us spoke a little English and was helpful. Every item in the dinner was fantastic. The tofu pot in the breakfast was also exceptionally good. When we depart the hotel staff would pull your car to the hotel front door.
Overall the service and food quality of the hotel is excellent.

Very Good Service

Stayed one night in Oak room 202.  Very spacious and luxurious looking, with semi open air onsen, toilet and sitting room.  Western style furniture with bed, wardrobe (with pyjamas and yukatas) and sofa.  Very modern audio visual equipment including LED flat screen TV, HiFi and DVD player.  Green tea pudding were stored in the fridge for our consumption.  The green tea was of high quality.

The hotel provides shuttle to the Ureshino bus centre.  Once arrived, a personal attendant would brief you the details in fluent English, e.g. private spa and dinner/breakfast arrangement etc.  Hotel lobby filled with nostalgic atmosphere, especially the souvenir shop which was deliberately decorated in Showa era style.   

We had one hour private spa in House 1.  The setting was very cosy and the pool size good enough for a family.  The semi open air in-room onsen was also of good size - the water likely originated from the bicarbonate sodium spring, which made your skin silky and smooth after soaking for a while.

Meals were served inside private cubicles in the banquet hall.  The grilled saga wagyu beef was the highlight of dinner.  For breakfast, the grilled fish and yudofu.  The lady who served the dinner was very nice, passed us leaflet of Yutoku Inari once learned of our intention to go there. 

A hint of luxury during our short stay in Ureshino!  Good for travellers of all ages.

Best time ever in Ureshino

The front desk employee are helpful, can communicate with English! Hotel has shuttle bus service which can pick up the guest from Ureshino bus center or Ureshino interchange center- this is helpful especially when you are not drive. Room is clean and with nice decoration, hotel provides tea and pudding upon our arrival. Hot spring is really nice here either you choose public spa or stay in your private room. Dinner and breakfast are delicious and you won't regret!

飯店人員都很熱情，也會以英文溝通。飯店提供接駁服務從嬉野巴士站或高速巴士嬉野交流道（IC)，這對沒開車的旅客很方便。房間非常的乾淨整潔，富現代感設計。當你入住後服務人員會送來手刷的抹茶與布丁甜點迎賓。這裡的溫泉品質非常好，泡起來有細滑的感覺，不論是在公眾湯或私人湯都能獲得很棒的體驗。 食物非常好吃，很精緻，以後有機會會想再來！

Your 1st choice in Ureshino!

This is located in the down town which is convenient for shopping the supermarket & pharmacy. They have good english speaking staff and warm service. The onsen are quite nice, both 貸切 and public one. But I recommended to take a bath first b4 using the rooftop open bath(coz it's cold). 
There is a little japanese old-style shop in the hotel displaying the old toys and food. 
We have a very happy & delicious dinner, coz the staff serving is so nice. We all love her!

Good Service, happy night!

We had a fantastic stay at  Bansyoukaku Sikisima. Everything was lined up for a great experience: the staff were welcoming and very attentive, the room was fantastic, food was stellar, and the baths were lovely. We had a room for four people- two western beds and two futons. All were really comfortable. I highly recommend this place and hope to get back there!
