This modest family run hotel is just a few minutes walk from the station, and has a convenient 7-Eleven at the end of the quiet street. Rooms are compact but the beds a good size and very comfortable. The bathroom is a small 'capsule' type arrangement but has all you need. There is a lift to the upper floors. Breakfast is not provided as such, but there is a table in the front foyer with packets of various food items and a drink machine at no extra cost. The family could not have been more welcoming.

Small rooms but big on friendliness

This ryokan is spotlessly clean , well located and helpful English Speaking staff. The clean  beddings,  strong wifi and complimentary ( and simple ) continental breakfast were  huge pluses. However, in my opinion,  the Japanese style  triple room is not for three people. It's just too small. I would come here again and because it is reasonably priced,  for three people, I would  recommend going for two separate rooms ( with beds) and avoid the triple room.

The staff at this hotel were so helpful and friendly. The room was small but cosy for 3 people but good value as near the station and included a decent breakfast. It was a quiet area despite its convenient location. I would definitely stay there again.

sweet staff comfortable room

I needed two extra days to stay in Hiroshima.
Hana was fully booked. I walk around in one morning and saw this little hotel that right across from a huge hotel which look way more expensive.
They have room available $ 45 single with breakfast. That $20 over the price of a Hana dorm bed.
But....., it is a family run with detail and Japanese hospitality 
The daughter speak very good English and out of her way to help you for your need( didn't get that feelings in two of the Hana run hostel) I got a room much larger than the 4 dorm bed room which I was staying in Hana. Cable tv, LAN line, own bathroom and very refreshful breakfast and they serve very good coffee( better than Japan Starbucks. I got much better rest in the very comfortable bed and special Japanese pillow than any Hostel with late noisy traffic.
I will choose Yorishiro anytime, anywhere.
If you travel two together or like to have a nice coffee fresh breakfast in the morning don't think make your room reservation on Hotel New Yorishiro. They also have Tatami room if you want to have a real Japanese experience.


Better than Hana hostel in Hiroshima !

I was stay in this hotel in a twin room for 1 night with my friend. I guess this is more like a one night stay for business man cos most of the client I met are single guy. This is like a family run small hotel with everything you need in the room ( kittle , hair drier, ironing and free adult channel on TV) . We even got a wood spoon as a welcome gift! How lovely.
Light breakfast is provided ( boil egg, instant noodles, rice ball, miso soup, banana, biscuit and bread, coffee etc.). Door lock at 0030 but its OK for us. No room service is available. 

Overall its a good and budget hotel for 1 night stay.
