Lovely stay with Bev and Michael, so welcoming and good fun. Location is great just outside Ochi Rios on a quiet street. Room was great, very large with a comfy bed and nice ensuite bathroom. Lounge area and rooftop were also very relaxing  We hope to return again in the future.

Tina's guest house provides great accommodations for travelers looking for clean, comfortable, inexpensive lodging. You are provided keys to the house and your bedroom w/ bath, and you share a living room and patio with Bev, Michael, and Aisha. They make you feel at home. Excellent hosts and perfectly situated for where I needed to be!

I was here on business, but would have had a fine time traveling with my family.  Pro tip: you can have your laundry washed for you on weekdays, but they need a day for them to dry in the sun.

Other reviewers' complaints stem from countryside living - you have many windows open to the surroundings. The cost of fresh air can be noise: roosters are up at dawn, revelers could be out on the streets (though it never happened while I was here). If you want no noise, go to a sterile hotel. If you want warmth, stay here (and maybe bring earplugs if you wish to sleep in).

Family Living by the Sea

four of us spent last night there.  we had 4 put in a room. was rereshing.  and they helped us find a local beach nearby and some good cooked food jamaican style.  out a bit far from the city centre but that is ok too.  nice cold water too.  free

I am just back from a pre-Thanksgiving getaway & stayed at Tina's - thoroughly enjoyed it ! Look for video I made of it on YouTube .Tina's Guest House was named after the operators beloved Aunt , the proprietors of Tina's Guest House offer affordable ( from $30 a night ! ) lodging to the more adventurous traveler seeking a more authentic Jamaican experience . A larger suite with queen bed , private bath , A/C & mini fridge is great for couples ! A smaller room is available as well . Small groups of backpackers , tourists can be accommodated . Roof top balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea ! Front enclosed open air porch to relax & play dominoes  -- groceries & beaches a short walk away -  an rocky entrance to the sea for swimming ( no beach ) in clear water is directly across the street ! Many sandy beaches nearby , Marley Beach within walking distance. One Love Jamaica !!

Wonderful Authentic Jamaican Guest House

The accommodations were excellent; excellent location.  Michael&Bev, were excellent host.  Overall, I would recommend Tina's Guess House 2 anyone that will b staying n or visiting da Ocho Rios area.  Good people.

Tina's Guest House is a nice place to stay. It is clean and has a big room. The bathroom is good and overall it's a solid accommodation. On top of the building is a rooftop terrace that you can use and the owner has a lot of information for you. You can also book every tour through him if you want to. The location is tranquil and quiet but very safe. The owner let us park our rental car next to his which was very kind.
The location is pretty far away from the town so you need a car to get around but that's okay because you know so beforehand.
The owner is a bit pushy. He kept wanting to sell us tours which we didn't want to book because we got around with our own car. At one point he told us what not to do that day because we should go with him the next day. It rained the following day so we never went. He also made us take his cousin to the next town, promising a great place for local food, which turned out to be his cousin pointing in no general direction after we dropped him off, saying: you can eat somewhere there. If he'd asked we would have taken his cousin to the next town but the misleading was very annoying and exhausting for a holiday. I think this place is better for people who don't want to plan their daily activities by themselves.
