120 reviewsAn authentic, earthy Agriturismo - farm stay. Perched on the side of Mt Etna, staying here is your closest link to an authentic Sicily. Hosts Carmela and Antonino are gracious and generous and endlessly fascinated in the stories of their guests - you'll soon feel one of the family. The locale is fascinating and once-grand. Guest accommodation is rather spartan but the beds are comfortable and Antonino puts on a fabulous cold breakfast spread and serves very good coffee. Carmelo is a fine chef whose dinners are traditional and delicious. Etna itself was an active participant of our stay, with wondrous October storms, lightening and torrential rains covering the courtyard with fascinating black basaltic silt which it was impossible not to track indoor and which crunches underfoot. A true adventure a la Siciliana!
