Colazione in Piazza Castello was a surprise! When going up the lift and getting out on a type of a garden you can’t imagine what is inside the apartment. A very nice comfortable spacious bedroom, very well appointed with quality linen, nice antique furniture, very clean space, a nice balcony with a precious view of Torino night and day, and the best: the hosts! Azufra and Enrico are there for welcoming you, to tell you about their city, you really feel that they are your friends as soon as you start talking to them! Breakfast is awesome, with a large array of items, some delicious home made by Azurra, really a treat! Location is top, you are in the heart of the city, in front of the royal palace, the touristic bus, the taxi station. Many restaurants, cafes and gelaterias are very close by. Will go back anytime! Thanks Azurra and Enrico!

Cozy stay in the heart of Torino!


Charming apartment that could not be more centrally located. Conveniently placed at the corner between the very central piazza Castello and via Po, the spine of the city, this apartment offers a lovely vista over the piazza on one side and the luminous via Po towards the river on the other. We visited over Christmas holidays and the Luci d'Artista exhibit of lights over via Po and a distance, over the Mole Antonelliana, was enchanting, History buffs. gourmets, museum goers, shoppers or just romantic city revelers or tourists wanting to experience the colors, tastes, odors and noises of an old city, will find this place extremely convenient as a multitude of restaurants, pastry shops, cafes, old-fashioned bookstores, clothiers are at a hand's reach in dizzying succession, framed by architectural beauties that go from the 1600's to modern times. The apartment is charmingly ensconced away on the 4th floor of a 1700s building. Located very safely, a convenient elevator will take you to a locked gate, that will admit you to a cozy typical Northern Italian inner courtyard. From there you get access to the apartment: two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large kitchen/dining/living room with parqueted floors, some dating from the 1700s, with a whimsically historic interior design. Azzurra's charm adds to the place. She was available via text for any question and her sense of hospitality made us feel truly at home. Definitely a place not to miss.

Staying in this place is like having your own apartment in Italy. The host is on-site in the building but apartment for guests is separate and you enter on your own with a series of keys that make you feel like you live there. There is a kitchen area with fridge, stove and table, a common hallway area and then the rooms are located off that. I stayed in the blue room which was very large with a daybed, large bed, table and chairs and dresser. It also had a private bathroom. There is no air conditioning however, there was a large fan and I was comfortable even in July. The apartment is in the middle of the main square in Turin and easy to reach from the train even with luggage (15min walk). I will say that despite being on the 5th floor it was quite noisy with the tram and traffic below. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the host was quite nice and helpful (though she does not speak much english).

Authentic Apartment in the Heart of Torino

Beautiful room with a lovely large queen bed! The room is very well decorated with a fantastic terrace! It was so amazing to have coffee on the terrace and watch the city go by. Azzura is a lovely host and I cannot wait to return!

The most lovely

Stayed in a room in this B&B in December with my husband and two teenaged children.  I enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

1. Our host - the proprietor, Azurra, is a lovely and warm lady.  When I contacted her initially, she said that she was planning a vacation during the time of our stay but we could stay at the apartment without her.  After I told her how sorry I was to hear that because I had read about her breakfasts and her dog, she contacted me again to say that she was postponing her vacation and could accomodate us.  When we asked Azurra about laundry facilities, she graciously offered to have our clothes washed, even though there was a washing machine on-site and she could have asked us to do so ourselves.  She not only washed but folded the clothes nicely for us as well.  All without demanding any extra cost.  She tried to make dinner reservations for us at a particular restaurant but was unable to do so as the restaurant was fully booked.  She tried to contact us but couldn't, so she had the presence of mind and the initiative to make reservations at another restaurant she had recommended which was near the first one.  Imagine how relieved and happy we felt when after trudging in the cold from being rejected at one restaurant to another, just taking the chance that it would be available, we were told that a table was waiting for us as she had made the necessary reservation.  

2, Location - this apartment is ideally located in a nice and touristy part of town.  If carrying luggage, you would probably need to take a cab from the Porta Nuova train station.  We tried to walk, which is difficult when one is wheeling luggage over cobble-stoned roads.  Once you settle into the apartment, you realise how conveniently located it is, a stone's throw away from the Palazzo Madama and very near the shopping street, via Roma.  I have the most gorgeous view of the Mole from our bedroom window and the Palazzo Madama from our balcony.

3. The apartment - It is located in a 400 year old building and has been refurbished beautifully.  It is clean, well-maintained and decorated very prettily.  Our room was spacious enough for the 4 of us and our large suitcases.  In any event, the kitchen and dining area are just outside, so we could sit there too.  If it was not so cold, it would have been wonderful to sit out in the balcony and enjoy the view outside.  The downside is that the tram line is right in front so it can be quite noisy early in the morning if you are a light sleeper.  Also, the wooden floors creak a lot, which we were quite conscious of when padding around the room in the middle of the night.  Also note that for one room (ours) the bathroom / toilet are outside.  This was not too much of a problem for us because we hardly bumped into the occupants of the other room (they have their own toilet / bathroom).  

4. Breakfast - Azurra prepares a lovely breakfast all beautifully arranged in her pretty crockery.  It was always pleasant to sit down to breakfast and have a little chat with her while playing with her dog, Sheila, who has the sweetest temperament.

All in, had a very enjoyable stay in this B&B and would certainly recommend it to my friends.

Excellent stay

Torino is a beautiful city, full of culture and close to great nature. Azurra is a fantastic host, very knowledgeable and a wonderful cook. It is rare to find such a variation in homemade cookies, cakes and breads in Italy. Every morning you wake to the smell of another delicious pancake, crumble, croissant. ... coming from the kitchen. The rooms have a nice size and are pleasantly decorated. Great!
