Ok, this place has a location and view that are just unbelievable. You are overlooking the small harbor of Recco, picture postcard views. Make sure to get a room with balcony for full experience, as sunsets with a bottle of wine are fantastic. The boat shuttle is in front of you to day trip to Camogli and beyond. Fantastic restaurants in walking distances, as is grocery store with beer and wine to stock your fridge. Stairs lead down to free beach in between two private beaches. Waterfront cafes surround you. Very helpful staff, they even printed tickets for upcoming concert in Rome for us. Recco is seriously underrated as a stop, and as a result it’s mostly Italians and few Americans, which is exactly what you want on the Italian Riviera. One of the few hotels where I was almost crying when I left it was so enjoyable. I’d recommend three day minimum stay to pull back the tempo of a hectic Italian vacation and genuinely relax. Cannot wait until next time to return!
