86 reviewsI had previously stayed north of Merano Meran on a previous motorcycle trip but couldn't find any rooms near where I had stayed before. Disappointed, I expanded my search and came across Maratscher Hotel. The only reason I picked it was because there were rooms available and after 3 months of looking, I booked it. Upon arriving in Merano Meran, my GPS routed me towards Lagundo. The route was incredible and routed us through and around numerous vineyards. Upon pulling into the motel, Doris greeted us with a very warm welcome in the parking lot. When we went inside, we didn't even have to check in. She offered us cold water and beer so we could relax. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with amazing views in ever direction. The next morning, she served up a fantastic breakfast with fresh cheese and meats, breads, fruits some of which were from her garden, and much more. Unfortunately we had only planned on staying one night but we liked it there so much we rerouted our trip and came back a few days later and stayed two more nights to relax and explore the area of Lagundo. I highly recommend staying here if you get a chance.
