Residenza Strozzi - La Cappella

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Residenza Strozzi in October. Guido and Pia are very hospitable and showed us around the property, answered all our questions and shared helpful information. This is a beautiful property. The guesthouse is a gorgeous restored chapel, you wake up to a fresco on the ceiling above you. There is a full kitchen, sitting room and bathroom. The property is surrounded by olive groves with a beautiful tree lined entrance like you would imagine in Tuscany. There are two local buses that run into the heart of Florence on a regular schedule. That said, this is a property that would probably be best suited if you are renting a car. There is an open space park adjacent to the property with great trails and views. The only downsides from my perspective were it seemed like the hot water heater may have been too small. While showering, the water cycles through cold and hot cycles. The electric socket in the bathroom for the hairdryer was located near the floor and I couldn’t see the mirror while drying my hair. The socket near the sink didn’t accommodate the plug in. These two slight inconveniences were not deal breakers, it’s a wonderful place to stay.
