85 reviewsWe spent 5 nights at Santa Igia B&B and it was possibly the best accommodation we could have found in Cagliari. The room was very clean and spacious and the shower was great. Each room has a small porch with tables and chairs with a view to the garden, pool and the flamingos on the river. But perhaps the best thing about it are the animals! The property has 4 dogs and 4 cats that are incredibly friendly, along with horses, goats, one ostrich... It is located very close to the airport, so many guests chose to spend their last night before flying back, but we would recommend extending that stay for the rest of the days spent in the region. Perhaps the only down side is the lack of public transportation (there is a bus stop 10 min walk from the place directly on the high way...), so you definitely need a car. Although for a fee (10eur/way) you can have a shuttle service from the B&B. It also a good base for day trips to surrounding places like Villasimius, Chia and Pula. Nicoletta and Gigi are great hosts, ready to help with anything you could need. All of these factors contributed to a very pleasant stay that we recommend to everyone, especially if you like animals.
