This is not really a b&b, but an apartment with some basic breakfast items provided. Fortunately there are several supermarkets located very close by which make it easy to sort out your own meals.  The facilities inside the apartment are excellent and very clean. Two good bathrooms, a kitchen/living area plus a double room and a triple room.  Great for families.

Location wise it is about a 100m from the sea front and the town centre.

The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable family run apartment

We stayed at Stella Maris for six nights. The breakfast provided was the usual Italian croissants and likewise, so it was great to have the possibility to make our own meals in the kitchen. The local supermarket is just around the corner, and the restaurants and the beach is around the other corner.
The host didn't know any English, but was very friendly.
Great place if you want to live independently on your holiday. Great for rock climbers, with enough space for your gear, and Cala Gonone being close to many good crags.

The B&B Stella Maris is a block of apartments in a side street close to one of the beaches at Cala Gonone. This is more like a self catering holiday rental than a B&B. Breakfast was merely the supply of a couple of croissants, juice and yoghurts. We had to visit the nearby market to supplement our breakfast requirements. The apartment itself was a reasonable size, quiet and comfortable. The WiFi was excellent. We had paid extra for a sea view room but it had sea glimpses at best from the balcony overlooking the side street. Constant construction noises during the day and on weekends were annoying but the concrete dust covering the car each day was unacceptable. The location of the "B&B" was good in that it was an easy walk to the port and the beaches. There are lots of very good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk and a boat tour of the coast is a must from the port. As a self catering unit there is a distinctive lack of kitchen appliances but it was great to have use of a washing machine. There is no tourist information provide at the "B&B" on the local area so a trip to the Information Centre is required. The village itself is wonderful and well located for day trips around the National Park and hiking in the hills. The host has no English so communications can be difficult. They also require cash only as payment and they had no knowledge of where to find an ATM in the village. Compared with other B&Bs that we have stayed in in Sardinia the service was lacking. If you treat this residence as a self catering apartment then it is probably acceptable. If you were looking for a proper Sardinian B&B then you will be disappointed.
