The minute I stepped into the main floor of this B&B, it was like walking into a time capsule. It brought me back to a time when my husband and I lived in the town of Belpasso during our Sicily tour of duty twelve years prior. Even the stairs going up three floors reminded me of Charles (our cat and companion during said tour), who learned to use the stairs in order to access his litter box. I love everything about this B&B. You can sense the warmth and hospitality from the minute you walk in. The room where my mom, my siblings, and I stayed had all the necessary amenities. The spacious balcony showcasing Sicily’s most famous landmark, Mount Etna, is an added bonus. Breakfast is in a cafe a short distance from the B&B, offering a great selection of pastries perfectly paired with your espresso, cappuccino, or cioccolato. B&B La Scacchiera Dell'Etna is minutes away from Mount Etna, located in a charming town at the foot of Europe's most active volcano.
