Great place to stay. Host was warm and welcoming, couldn't have been nicer. The room was clean and comfortable and the view was spectacular. Couldn't recommend more. Very central also. I stayed here twice on recent work visits and would stay again

My husband, sister in law, mother in law and I stayed in 2 garden view rooms over the bank holiday weekend - 24th - 27th August 2019. Our stay was lovely! We were well looked after by Frances and enjoyed the whole experience. The rooms were in good condition, clean and tidy, with room service to replenish towells etc throughout our stay.
The room had plenty of space and shower worked well each day. We made use of the front porch to have our coffee and take in the views! Highly recommend and would visit again.

Me and my partner stayed for one night on the balcony room and was really comfortable,very near to centre of the town and has amazing views . Francis was very friendly on arrival and will hope to be back soon

Really lovely stay in Galway!

Excellent stay

Liked  · 1) Parking available
2) the sea view. Although mostly facing the lake before the sea, you could also see the sea further away (barely). Either way, cool view in the morning and you get the sunshine hitting you from the start of the day.
3) Short and to the point Host - welcomes you, gives keys, informs of time to go and where to drop key before going, minimum interaction
4) Tea & Coffee with milk and sugar available in room with Kettle
5) Comfyish bed
6) lower price for room considering good location (but see point 4 in bad).

The bad
1) Limited parking (6 rather cramped spaces for 10 rooms) but we were lucky only 2 other cars there at the time of visit.
2) No breakfast available
3) Minimum host interaction - if you are looking for privacy that's great, but if you want to interact with your host, not so much.
4) Reduced time for the room - check in 4pm not 2, check out 11 not 12.
5) although called a B&B it only offers the room.
6) The sea view is actually the lake view (mostly). Still looks pretty though.

Good if you visit off season

Stayed here for two nights for my first visit to Galway. Having now read previous reviews about the frosty staff and limited parking, our experience completely aligns! 

Pros: 
- location - easy access to the town and lovely restaurants and shops 
- View - we booked the room with the balcony which had a really nice view of the water
- The room was generally quite clean and had most things we needed 

Cons: 
- Unfriendly staff - Both the hosts were quite abrupt and didn’t make any effort to welcome us or appreciate the custom - they were focussed on giving rules about how not to use keys and where not to park. 
- Moving our stuff - Our room was not cleaned, but on our second day we found that someone had nonetheless let themselves in and moved several items, including toothbrushes, towels and clothes around the room, as if correcting us for putting them in the wrong place. This felt quite intrusive and passive aggressive and made us feel uncomfortable, especially in the context of Covid where most hotels are maintaining social distancing and not entering rooms unnecessarily for short stays. 
- facilities - Bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable and there was no hot water on our second day so both had to have cold showers. 
- Parking - we were told several times to park in the most difficult spot in the tiny car park (despite the fact it was never full during our visit). 

The place was reasonably priced for the area and we certainly weren’t expecting the Ritz, but decent pillows, respecting personal space and a friendly welcome would all go a long way!

Uncomfortable stay

Visited for 1 night. The room was a decent size however the bathroom was ridiculously small. The shower was non existent, very low pressure. Room was clean however the pillows were so flat and uncomfortable. 

There are only 6 parking spaces even though there are 8 rooms. The spaces are extremely tight. If you value your car you wouldn’t park it here. Breakfast not included nor available. False advertising.  I would not recommend a stay here.

Don’t bother staying here

Good location but parking a problem. 8 rooms but only 6 minute parking spaces. We had requested parking when we booked as they have "reserved parking" but found out on arrival that the tiny spaces are not reserved for those requesting parking but "first come, first served". We got a space but made the mistake of going out on the second day to return to no parking spaces available. There is parking in a multistory park, you have to pay, about a 10 minute walk away. The response to me showing surprise at the possible loss of our parking space was less than friendly. 
The room was fairly clean but could be better. 
The shower was little more than a dribble and the light in the bathroom is just a faint glow. 
We knew that there was no breakfast served but it should not be called a "B&B" if there is no breakfast and should not add a picture of a breakfast on their page.
The emergency evacuation sign on the bedroom door was for a different floor and layout.
Altogether a fairly unsatisfactory visit. 

Not for those with cars! 

We had reservations for two at the Skiff House. There was a double bed fully made up but we were two women and needed two beds. The other thing to sleep on was a rather grimy futon of uncertain age. There were no sheets of blankets for the futon. 
We called the number provided for customer service twice the day we arrived and got no answer. A text was also sent with no reply. One of us slept on the futon wrapped in a bathrobe using the bed cover from the double bed and one pillow. 
Terrible. The next morning we got a call and the person said they didn't get the phone calls or text from the day before. REALLY? This is no way to run a B&B. Then we were told that linens for the futon were $25.00 extra and had to be requested in advance. FYI, there is no breakfast at this B&B. We got coupons for $12.00 each to eat in town. The coupon didn't cover the cost of the meal plus a tip. The jacuzzi in the Skiff House was probably installed in 1980 and looked it. We wouldn't get in it. There was no shower. One step up from the customer service voice was a manager who offered a 10% discount for our stay. Not satisfactory but we took it. I would not recommend this place. Do not waste your money.

TRAVELERS BEWARE! DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is a scam. Do not book a reservation, do not inquire about a reservation. Simply avoid at all costs. Also, see below  review, not a good place to stay, and not comfortable by all means. Hotel management not friendly, not helpful. Overall bad, very horrible customer service. Stay far away!

Horrible Customer Service

Why are they still calling themselves a B&B?? 
My family actually stayed here in spring 2019 but I’m just updating my reviews now. Worth noting that Covid did not cause them to stop serving breakfast as they NEVER served it.
That aside, our stay started with an awkward and drill sergeant-like interaction with the owner. Our room was very dated. Water pressure was terrible and I remember the shower experience was almost comical the way I had to move around to wash properly.
I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free.
