Booking was easy and smooth.
Arranged to meet at apartment entrance at a particular time for handover of keys. The young woman who met us was on time and very pleasant and informative. The flat itself was clean and well maintained. Soaps, shampoos, toilet roll and clean towels all provided in the bathroom. All in all my son and I could not fault the accommodation. It was also convenient to Dublin city centre and 3 arena was a 20min walk. Bus passed the front door.
We used public transport to get to and from Dublin so didn't have to find parking.

We have stayed in many apartments all over the UK, Spain and France for family vacations, and this one was by far THE WORST!!!  This regret was partly on my mistake for not reading through all the reviews, and mainly by the misleading photos on their official website. So, fellow travelers, take a look at my photos !!

Although this property didn't ask for a security deposit ( which was a plus), we had to pay fully to receive the entry codes for the apartment. 

Location:
The property is located about 15 minutes' drive from Dublin city centre. It is more or less a terraced townhouse amidst a line of local laundry and motor-parts stores, with an adjacent Chinese takeway eatery and convenience stores.
Payable public parking spaces in front cost 4.8 euros for 3-hours ( I think it is free from midnight to 7 a.m.)

I didn't mind if the neighbourhood was not a posh area, but the property itself was just run-down ! The exterior walls were shanty-looking, and the small fenced area in front was just an abandoned patch of stone tiles. The glass on the door that leads to the side street was broken, with sharp glass still hanging on the frame, making me worry about the security of the neighbourhood......

No elevators, so be prepared to lug your bags up the long stairway.

Apartment:
We had a 2-room apartment, with an open kitchen and small sofa. 

Rooms were terribly small:  the head and foot ends of the bed snugly touching both walls, and a small wardrobe which was filled with towels and extra pillows.

Even though the windows had louvred blinds, they were not sufficient to keep out the strong sunlight that came through in the early mornings. Facing the main road, the windows could not insulate the noise so we could not get quiet nights. 

There was no air-con nor fans for the stuffy rooms during those hot July nights.

The bathroom was small, dim and narrow; it had a shower closet and a small wash basin. It had no hook / space for towels and clothes, so we had to put them in the wash basin. Even the toilet tissue had to be put on top of the flush tank because there was no tissue roll holder in the bare toilet. 

What's more, the property was not well-prepared for fully-paid customers:
There was only a half-roll of toilet tissue in the whole apartment, and the ceiling light of the kitchen and one of the rooms were not working. There was a broken folded chair in the corner which should have been removed for the safety of occupants.

The next morning, we texted the owner about the issues, and when we returned in the evening, there were more tissue rolls stacked on top of the flush tank. The broken chair was still occupying the corner in the small kitchen, and there was a new light-bulb standing on the stove area. There was a message saying that the maid who delivered the bulb and tissues was not tall enough to replace the ceiling light-bulb. Hmmm, the ceiling was rather high, I noticed, and without a ladder, it was impossible to reach the light. 
So....did that mean we had to replace the bulb by our own resources ???!!! Otherwise, the bulb was just delivered for no point !! And oh, should we repair the broken chair too??!!!
What kind of owner was this-- who just took your payment and didn't bother for basic needs??!!! 

Check-out was easy, because there was just no one from management office.

I could see there were some positive reviews on the website, so probably there were better apartments in the property, but the one we had was just crap!

Booked a stay, paid up front. A day after I paid they cancelled the booking. Still waiting for a refund over 30 days later. Won’t answer calls or reply to emails. Be weary don’t want anyone else to be ripped off

Our booking for nine people was cancelled a week before we were due to stay here and I called the host and he wasnt at all helpful and he had told me to get in touch with booking.com that they were to provide alternative accommodation and nothing from booking.com not one bit helpful either. I had to go look for alternative at last minute in Dublin seemed impossible.

Apartment was in general not well maintained.  Examples: Toilet was loose and rocked on floor.​ No place to ​place/​hang towel in the bathroom, ​place soap or shampoo or toilet paper or anything else, other than the floor. Shower slow to drain, water trickles from faucet. No shampoo or soap. ​Furnishings cheap and flimsy. 

​Assured in advance by email that there would be laundry detergent but none. Washer in hallway up high and must stand on chair to add soap.. Combination locks hard to use.  My apartment door lock was defective, leaving apartment door unlocked; luckily I figured it out, and fixed it myself. 

Windows do not open so no fresh air​.​ ​ Instruction​s​ on use of TV and box are not accurate. Never got it to work. ​

N​ever saw ​anyone connected with the apartment. I entered with an emailed code. No European or US adapters so could not charge my devices. Other guests smoking right outside my window and smelled it. Charged me for apartment 12 days before arrival during free cancellation period.

Dingy hallway with dirty laundry bags piled up in front of the fire exit for all 3 days. 

Could use some info on bus schedules, there was none.

Not recommended

Not getting access to the apartment we were due to stay at.
Standing in a hallway for over an hour with my young family trying to get into the property. 
The lack of effort from the accommodation provider helping us. 
Booking.com not refunding our money. 
The disappointment from my family not able to attend the planned events that evening in Dublin.
The time having to spend on legal advice in getting our money back of booking.com
