Tiara Bunga Balige resort is the most loved resort/villa i have ever stayed. The morning sunrise with the lake view is simply stunning. You can also go on a duck tour around the lake & the breaksfast is so good. Nothing so beautiful like this!

The most beautiful villa in the world!

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. Swimming pool is disgusting (green), accommodation is in miserable condition, the restaurant is empty and the food is disgusting, not to mention breakfast...
The staff is lovely but not very helpful... and the hotel is only accessible by boat with the last one at 4pm so you cannot do much around the hotel (nor in the hotel btw...).
The owner of the hotel should feel ashamed of falsely promoting a dreamy hotel where in reality it is just a remake of Stanley Kubrick’s Shining in Lake Toba.
If at least the price was cheaper so that it makes the standing more acceptable.

Worst experience ever!! Avoid!!

This is a great and clean place for you to take a short rest after landing at Silangit Airport. Its only less than 30 minutes away from the airport. I would suggest that you could stop here for a meal and beer before heading to Samosir Island. You can enjoy the Lake Toba from another side. 

The drive to Samosir Island will take at about 2 hours due to winding road. 

Besides, when we landed our daughter was hungry and there were no clean and decent looking restaurants before Tiara Bunga Hotel. It was a reflief when we found this place.

Got to take boat to enter & back from the hotel, no road for car drive in. U will feel like stay in an island. It is old hotel, my 5 years old boys was disappointed because the swimming pool was not maintained, smelly n dirty. U will great by the beautiful view from the hotel room in the morning , u heard the wave sound while u r sleeping, very relaxing by the nature create there.

Holiday

Please take note that the only way access to the hotel is by the boat which scheduled by the hotel. The hotel facilities is less and old, swimming pool very dirty, hotel room abit dirty and room call not functioning. Receptionist no people to service.

Restaurant is quite a distance from our room need to walk around 10mins to reach. 

But the only good things was, they got the best lake view from balcony. And luckily the staff quite helpful.

Eye catching. Wake up clean lake water view with sun in back drop. nice cool breeze. Away from the hush of city life. Dont forget to carry some food specially if you are vegetarians. Helpful staff. Just go and soak in to the beauty of lake. suite rooms and villa is highly recommended.

I love this place because this place have very very privacy for couple who already married, really quite ambiance with a good room and panorama from balcony make you calm down a little and forget about a  busy life in town
