Aamod Monolith Resort Bhimtal

While searching for a place to celebrate a friend's birthday I came across Various resorts Monolith and by seeing the pictures we actually cancelled our plan for Lansdowne and went to Bhimtal. Trust me this place is way beautiful than shown in the pictures and one could not expect more. If you enter the property you cannot go back without staying. With beautifully designed cottages and lawns the property is situated at a perfect location. The architecture of the property was amazing with a perfect location facing the lake. The wooden cottages with beautiful interior, amazing view and greenery all around. The best part for us was the swimming pool which was unexpectedly well maintained in the rainy season which is also an off-season in Nainital. Our purpose was to celebrate a birthday party and they arranged everything for a pool party which went on till 1 or 2am with just the 7 of us in the resort and the staff actually waited for us patiently till we are done partying. The food was amazing and as per our requirements (i.e. out of the menu) They also have a bar which is not very commenly found in that area. So if u wish u can use the bar or bring your own booze. No restrictions. The only issue I faced was the cold, the blanket provided were not warm enough when the temperature dropped at night and there were no extra blankets or quilt which are normally kept as provision in the hotel room of hill stations. I am sure they would have provided one if I had asked for it but calling the staff late night at 3am was not a good idea for me, moreover someone not from the hills do not know that the temperature there can go down suddenly. The staff was just amazing. This is more of a luxury resort at a reasonable price for what is offered by them. Visiting this place in monsoons was another pleasing factor which offered beautiful landscape for a nature lover like me and also the resort was available at a very discounted rate. The place is 6-7hrs drive from Delhi with normal traffic and a perfect weekend getaway. Would definitely visit again.
