Very bad experience! Rooms are not clean at all. The worst part is the bathroom. The Staffs are not cooperative at all. I don't think anyone can stay here. It is a waste of time and money. I was charged for a deluxe room and the facilities were far below expectations. Absolutely do not recommend.

Pathetic experience!

Worst hotel ever. They charge you so much but the cleanliness is zero. The bedsheets and the pillow’s were dirty. There is no proper facility. Pictures they show you is different and in reality it is totally different. Also the desk person was so rude he took extra money for travel bus fare

Totally worst hotel

I have just visited this hotel Raj puri.. My experience was terrible.. One boy was just there to serve and help for all the people. No other helper boy was there. It takes 30 mins to serve one cup of tea. Behavior of the people of the reception and canteen wss very very bad.. They don't how to behave with the customer. Overall worst experience in Raj hotel. Will suggest not to go there.

Worst experience in hotel Raj

We stayed at Hotel Raj from 30 March to April 03. The cool sea breeze was a welcome change. We also visited the Sun Temple, Konark and the Nandankanan Zoo. The highlight of the trip included having fresh rasogullas off the street just after they were made. Bapida hotel, a dhaba style outfit,serves reasonably priced breakfast and lunches. The Restaurant at Hotel Raj also serves excellent food. Puri is a a favorite sea side destination for thousands of Bengalis who visit it in droves.

Nice trip

Has stayed there with my parents for 2 days.It is at the new Marine drive so it was far from the crowd and had a peaceful atmosphere.Sea facing a.c. and non a.c. rooms are available.When we had gone, the Sea facing a.c. rooms on the 3rd FLOOR were already booked & rooms on 1st FLOOR was only available whereon the a.c. rooms are at the back and the non a.c. rooms are sea facing.The Non A.c. rooms were though sea facing but was small and less well kept compared to the a.c. rooms which were spacious and clean.
The staffs are very helpful and are always ready to help. In fact it some time can irritate you as they keep knocking the door  and ask you if you require any thing.But that can be taken care off by requesting not to disturb.
Even if you don't take a sea facing room, you can sit in the balcony and watch the sea roaring.
To end it up...it is a good budget hotel.

Comfortable and reasonably priced hotel

The hotel is in the new marine drive area and near to the lighthouse is very calm. We stayed there for 3 nights in the month of January 2017 with my family. You can get the sea view from common balcony of first and second floor. But the view is superb from the third floor. We took food from the hotel which is mainly Bengali food consisting with rice and fish. They provide the hot water in the room if you request. The beach is near only 2-3 mins walking distance. Overall a nice hotel for family who are looking to stay for peace in Puri. 

Nice and calm area behind all the noiseness of swargadwar

Hotel is very good neat and clean.room service is good.good position.food is also good in restaurant but they were very slow.one cup of tea takes 30 minutes in
 the morning.they served traditional bengali food at reasonable price.

Good hotel

Visited this hotel during May 2016. Due to non availability of other hotels in main beach side we had to book this hotel in new Marin drive. But the new portion of this hotel is very well decorated. We booked 3 suite rooms Rs. 2000 each. Rooms are well decorated with enough space well decorated wall wardrobe led TV mini refrigerator Ac sofa and table. Room service was very good, whenever we needed water that was provided and once we needed phenylalanine at bathroom at 10.30 pm but they provided the same. Rooms and bathrooms were cleaned every day morning and bed sheets were changed whenever asked for. 
The food quality was not up to the mark but not worst. Sea was at 1 mins walking distance from the hotel just across the road. Overall rating will be 4 out of 5.
