Stayed here for six nights. A tad away from the hustle bustle of the main town, this is a quaint property with stunning views of the valley from every room. The rooms, the decor, the standards of hygiene, the quality of the beds and everything else is of the highest order. Run by Joe and his family, this homestay really offers a very comfortable homely environment with all possible comforts. Breakfast menu is varied on a daily basis. And dinner / lunch options are also excellent and well prepared. Joe is always ready for tips on local travel, sightseeing, massage or any attraction. Will definitely return.

A  most friendly and helpful proprietor.
The atmosphere is charming and the food is quite wonderful!. The decor is quite exceptional, down to the last detail. If I return to this area, I will certainly book this boutique inn!!

Artistic Boutique category!

We stayed for 5 days at this quiet place with the friendly family of Joe and Jeena. We had a nice and well designed room with balcony with hillview. In the morning we woke up with the sound of birds. 
Joe arranged some trips and gave us a lot of information. 
The ayurvedic massage was relaxing.
The food was excellent in the pleasant restaurant. It was all home cooked.

Relaxed and friendly place

We both agreed this was the best place we stayed at during our trip to India so far. The features of a boutique hotel-quality homestay, but in a serene and peaceful oasis, with the owners never having lost touch with the essence of homestays: welcoming, friendly and warm, everyone in the family was always happy to chat to us and get to know us, even Joe’s lovely children. The homecooked Keralan meals were the best dishes we have had and you can really tell just how good this homestay is for supporting the local community, traders, artists and guides, whilst also staying eco-friendly. Nothing was ever too much to ask, always giving good tips, with the possibility of organizing jeeps, treks or massages. Mind, its a little far from Munnar proper, but you are rewarded with beautiful scenery. We will 100% be back, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you to Joe and his family

Fantastic stay

The views are what make this place, plus the personal touch of the owner Joe, his wife, and their two charming sons. Rooms are a little snug, but clean and bright, with efficient ceiling fan and comfy beds. Amazing balcony with comfy seats and those jaw dropping views - sit there and spot the wonderful bird life!
Others have commented on the proximity of a busy road, and being a rather light sleeper I was initially worried by this. However, it quietens at night, and did not disturb us in any way.
Joe appears to run everything there himself ( assisted by the family) and will organise transfers, jeep trips, plantation walks and laundry . The food at Mistletoe was superb with an extensive menu for dinner, and a different Indian breakfast offering each morning. We brought our own beers and wine with us and Joe helpfully let us store them in his fridge. 
A really nice touch was a small bouquet presented by Tagus in the morning, and the dinner table laid with flowers for our wedding anniversary whilst we were there.
Would especially recommend the jeep tour of elephant watering hole, waterfalls and tea plantations with Jinish, and the morning spice plantation and bird walk.

Good value Homestay with the most amazing views

Absolutely loved my stay! From the moment I checked in, till the check out, every single moment spent here was worth it all. The attention to detail in the room decor was impeccable, every single corner of this homestay decorated very elegantly. You can see simplicity with luxury. The room was spacious, neat and clean, bathroom was having all required toiletries, you will be invited with a spacious balcony overlooking to the forest and mountain. The USP of this homestay is its host Mr. Joe, a thorough gentleman, very friendly and always one step ahead to help you with any advices which one might be looking for as a guest- be it tourist destination,  choice of food anything.  Second USP is the lip smacking food during breakfast and dinner. The tropical fruits served during everyday breakfast was something you will love like anything, it was full of papaya, litchi, jackfruit, lemon, guava, pineapple and all are from their own farm grown. One must try the Chicken curry, it was surprisingly tasty. Third USP is the abundance birds available at the backyard. Birders will not be disappointed for sure.
Now most important is, its a nice cozy beautiful homestay which is run by Mr Joe and his family.  They take care of their customer with all standard facilities like relaxed and peaceful stay, super tasty food, quiet decent wifi and other basic amenities. But one must not misjudge it with hotel or resort, so you need to respect their basic regulations in terms of timing. Its simple and helpful for both the party.
Lastly I would like to convey my sincere gratitude and lots of love and best wishes to team Mistletoe homestay for their outstanding hospitality. 
I strongly recommend to the people to experience this property who wants a relaxed stress free simple homely stay at Munnar.
Some poster of the property could be a help for people like me for a better guidance as it's possible to miss the location while driving.

A hidden gem and highly recommend the location. Joe is a wonderful host and you won’t regret coming here.

Hidden gem

This stay was incredible! My sister and I took the chance to stay here during monsoon season, and we would come back in a heartbeat! Joe and his family were kind, helpful hosts and truly went above and beyond. The rooms are just what they look like online, comfortable and clean with beautiful balconies overlooking the mountains! The food was delicious and the portions are quite generous for the price. In our opinion, skip Fort Kochi and just come to Munnar! There’s so much to do near the homestay and Joe helped manage our transport everywhere based on what we had in mind to visit. Tea and spice fields (and Joe knows which ones are less commercialized!), countless viewpoints of the mountains that feel unreal, and even zip lining close by! Also the view from the homestay is breathtaking!! Definitely would recommend this to anyone hoping for a refreshing, personal, and reasonably priced stay in Munnar!

Refreshing stay!!

We had 3 nights in Mistletoe, sadly that wasn't enough. 
The whole time we were there was wonderful. Joe and his family were so welcoming and hospitable. The room was perfect with an incredible view. The home cooked  food was delicious and there were plenty of choices. Day trips were arranged for us and the family were very knowledgeable and a delight to talk to. We had a relaxing stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if were visiting Munnar. Thank you 

Beautiful stay

This homestay is run by a Christian family belonging to the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. 
Very humble God fearing family….The hospitality is beyond words can express….They looked after us very well….The children are well behaved and very helpful….Loved the conversation with the owner….Made us feel at home.
The highlight of this homestay is the food….The owner’s mother’s cooking is excellent….every food she prepared was delicious….She should be given a Michelin Star….
The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained….The views from the balcony are mesmerising….
This homestay is located in Iruttukanam village in Idukki District of Kerala….The nearest town is Adimali which is around 10kms from the homestay….The hill station “
Munnar Town “ is 20 kms from this homestay..,,
