Ampavris Family Apartments

My wife and I arrived late after flight delays. The friendly guy that met us in the bar check in area offered to make us food and served us drinks from the bar. That set the precedent for the whole holiday as all the family owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Our apartment was quite basic but was clean and had everything that we needed. If we had needed anything else the staff were very willing to assist. The bar/restaurant area was very good and was a fantastic social hub. We met people that had been coming back for years because of the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The bar/restaurant area was right next to a lovely swimming pool surrounded by a spacious terrace with plenty of sunbeds. It was about a 15 minute walk into the very pretty old town leading into the main town with bars, restaurants and shops catering for all tastes. The harbourside was very scenic and busy. The nearest beach was about 30 minutes walk but there were plenty of bike, scooter and car hire places if required. A well stocked grocery store right next to the apartments had everything we needed. We hadn’t been to Greece for about 30 years and loved our first visit to Kos. We will be back next year and will be staying at the Ampavris Family Apartments.
