Very expensive and far from the sea just to pricey for what was offered but that is true for the entire island. Aghia pelagia also a overvalued in terms of beaches and scenery. The hotel service inadequate again for the amount of money.

Expensive and overated

We stayed 5 nights in the beginning of September. The hotel is immaculately clean throughout. Rooms are cleaned every day. The owner, George is very friendly and helpful. He recommended restaurants for fish, nice beach to visit and ordered us a take away one evening. Other staff were also friendly and attentive. Our room, 201, on the first floor had a good sized balcony with a great view of the sea and the Peloponnese opposite. Room was spacious with small fridge, Air Con and free WiFi, even a mosquito plug in was provided. Bed was comfortable, large and very clean.
Bathroom was modern and very clean with toiletries, hairdryer and clean towels daily. Window in the bathroom had a mosquito mesh. Hotel is set on a hill on the road leading into Agia Pelagia. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Agia Pelagia. A small torch came in useful at night. Ground floor rooms would be accessible from the entrance. Breakfast area was indoors or outdoors and very pleasant with Air Con indoors. There was a good selection of food for breakfast - cereals, toast and jams, selection of pastries including locally made pies and cakes, fresh fruit, boiled and scrambled eggs and small sausages, ham and cheese. Nice strong coffee and a selection of tea. Would definitely recommend for great Greek hospitality at a reasonable cost.

Great hotel with brilliant sea views

We stayed with a group of 25 and found this hotel catered for us beautifully.  
Very friendly and obliging.
Great location to get around.
Beautiful sunrise from our balcony.
No pool but located walking distance to beautiful crystal clear beach of Agea Pelagea. 
Nice breakfast area and lounge areas and outdoor seating for us to sit and chat with oui ur group.  
The staff were like relatives to us and helped us all with our endless sightseeing questions.
Very clean and freshly decorated.
Great week. Felt we could have stayed longer.

I have just spent a week at the Hotel Irida in Kythera and can recommend this hotel highly.  It is a family business owned by George and he really does go out of his way to make you stay easy and comfortable.
The hotel is built so that most rooms have ocean views back towards mainland Greece and if you get up early enough you will be rewarded with a magnificent sunrise.
The rooms are cleaned daily, and are modern, spacious and air conditioned.
Breakfast in the morning is hearty and George keeps the bar open until very late.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Relaxed, Spacious and Comfortable Family Hotel

September 2017, we stayed 2 weeks in Irida Hotel in Agia Pelagia on the beautifull Island Kythira. The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpfull. The room was very clean with a beautifull view over the sea from the balcony. An excellent breakfast is served and the hotel is located at walking distance from the center of Agia Pelagia were you can find a lot of tavernas near the sea. 

I can certainly recommend this hotel for travellers who want to discover the real Greece (Kythira is a must) and who want to stay in comfortable conditions on an excellent price/quality ratio.
