Had the most wonderful holiday and although the team are near the end of the season we were treated so well and great service. We were in room 12 during are stay the room was immaculate and cleaned to a high standard every day. 
The pool area was lovely with great views. 
Breakfast choice was great and considering I had read some of the previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised as so much variety. 
The location is good too. I would highly recommend Enalion suites and we hope to return soon too.

Relaxation with a view

This is our second visit to this beautiful hotel and we loved it just as much and more, we have read previous negative reviews and understand everyone has different ideas on a great holiday and yes you will always find a few tweaks needed here and there but if you are looking for a small hotel with traditional Greek influence with amazing views, location for restaurants in Lassi and Argostoli then this is perfect.
Maria, Andi and Arris are all very helpful and we have never experienced any of the previous issues some guests have mentioned, Maria is very efficient with breakfast and also remembers pretty much each guest’s drink preference etc each morning, Andi is very informative and friendly when you ask about the local area etc and both have great humour if you take the time to have a conversation with them. 
The rooms may appear old fashioned but they are Greek and we love that along with little 5 star touches, robe and slippers, tea lights and a flower from their gardens in a small 
vase, comfortable bed and beautiful breakfast setting ie linen and crockery.
We took the advice of previous reviews on our first visit to take a suction shower holder and works a treat if you really aren’t happy with hand held ! 
 We have been lucky to visit some great places around the world but we would certainly call this our go to for everything it offers if you are looking for a traditional Greek holiday with beautiful surroundings with the gardens, pool and beach, we will be back, thank you Enalion.

A beautiful traditional Greek hotel !

This place is indisputably perfect if you want, space, location, views and peace & tranquility, which is exactly what we wanted and got in abundance…. guests were of the same mindset with a bit of casual conversation but nothing that took over the ambience, until that one family arrived, but we can’t blame that on the owners, luckily they only had a few pool days -  would love to see it go adults only though.  It was so peaceful, especially at night, it felt more like a residential complex, I decided I lived there (for 12 days that is) .

Rooms - spacious, airy and comfortable. Large bedroom, good storage.  Aircon and safe are both included in the price, to put in perspective some negative comments, the curtains are for decoration hence too small to draw them, but there are external shutters to all the windows that when pulled closed, totally blackout the daylight, we left the bedroom ones pulled at all times, kept the room cool. Aircon preset at 24, believe me, when you leave both units on all night, you wake up freezing, we stopped using the bedroom one, used just the hallway and left the bedroom door open- perfect.  The patio doors do turn off the aircon if left open too long, (most places are starting to do this), sadly no handle on the outside to be able to close them,  if one wanted to stay out  and one stay in with aircon …. had to keep knocking to be let back in 🤪 the bathroom, yes a bit dated, but that hand held shower was so powerful, useful tip, we took a stick on wall mount for the shower, less than £8 from Amazon, would have worked a treat if hubby hadn’t stuck it on the wall facing the shower screens !! 

Breakfast - perfectly adequate and tasty, yes it was the same everyday, but they put everything out every day, some places rotate whereas the Enalion had 3 types of eggs every morning etc, staff were friendly and checked if everything was ok, yes, they quickly moved plates when finished with, this was to help keep the bugs away etc.

Pool area is perfect, is open from around 8/8.30, once the guy has done a bit of hosing down and tidying up - it’s the pool bar that doesn’t open until 11.  We had the odd drink and ice cream but the food menu was very limited and quite pricey, we opted to go out to grab some lunch.  For a few livelier pool days we ventured up to the Lorenzo, just a short walk towards the Lassi road, the food there is great and really well priced. 
Staff,  we got in with all of them, the lady in reception can come across a bit abrupt, but she’s not, she has a great sense of humour and was very helpful when we needed help with our Quad one day.

We loved our stay ….

Have to agree with many of the recent reviews of the enalion suites. Very tatty sunbed mattresses let down a beautiful pool area, with great views over to lixouri. The pool itself is very nice and clean. Didn't use the food area as we were out most days. Rooms are spacious but badly in need of an update.   Bathroom especially was functional, with plenty of hot water, but having to step up into a bath to have a shower, with a cheap plastic sliding cover,   is not good enough in 2023. In our ground floor room the noise from upstairs plumbing was enough to wake you up. The WiFi is pretty non existent, seemed only to work in a tiny area of the very warm reception room. 
I thought breakfast was ok, typical Greek hotel fare with some nice touches. Plenty of cats but not too many wasps. 
Location is great, just a 10 min walk to the main lassi strip with plenty of good restaurants to choose from. The bigger part of the beach below the hotel is lovely, but you need to get there early before all the sun beds are taken by guests from the mediterannee. 
Potentially a great hotel, just badly in need of major modernisation. 

Needs updating 

Beautiful setting overlooking the sea and rooms adequate. Very hard bed!! We were B and B and this was the poorest breakfast we have ever experienced but adequate. There is no feeling of warmth and happiness from staff which is so sad. Staff are stressed and just about make eye contact with you. So many rules too. Cooker in room not even plugged in to use, difficulty getting extra bedding , breakfast staff member abrupt and engaging with holiday makers she obvs knows previously, staff arguing . You feel like you are being watched!! As for pool bar prices. Ridiculous. No wonder it was empty every day. We would not go here again !

Run like a regime

This is a beautiful resort, very peaceful but I do feel they are missing a few tricks which is why I've knocked a star off the rating.

It is very close to the airport so transfer times are just 25 mins.

My mum (a fit 82) and I were given an upgrade to a full sea view (room 15) on  the upper floor (we asked not to be on the ground floor).  2 balconies, the large back one has patio doors  leading from both the lounge area and the bedroom to a pool view.  A separate door at the front leading  to another balcony overlooking the sea so we were spoilt for choice and sat on which ever one was shady!!

Breakfast is nice 8-10.  Tea served in teapots, nice touch.

Pool loungers are probably the best I've ever had, adjustable both head and feet with pillows and a pull out table so super comfy   Plentiful too!  If you want noise then this is not your place as it is very quiet, no music!

Pool bar could offer way more, it should be open for drinks in the evening, there should be a better snacking facility.  It would do the business if it opened for a BBQ as the sunset from the apartments is wonderful but everyone is going into town as nothing is being offered!!

We had a lovely stay.  The walk down to the beach is quick from the pool area but not so good if you have someone older with you.  We went the long way and joined it from the mediteranee entrance along the road and walked back up the quick way as somehow you feel safer walking up steps than down them.  If younger then no issues.

Could do with a shop nearer but that's not their fault, just an observation.

Restaurants plentiful, we did not struggle.

Now for the thing we didn't like and they could put right instantly.  Not all pickups from the hotel are early morning or just after check out, which I have to add is 12 so very reasonable.  Our pickup was 6pm and we were offered nowhere to have a shower.  They had open showers by the pool but you can't shower there with shower gel, plus you'd have a soaking wet costume.  2 solutions.  Some flights come in late as ours did so keep a room where you pick up a key from reception (other small places do this) or just open the showers down the stairs by the pool bar.  If they are out of order then repair them!!!  Not good enough to say 'tough'.  Staff are not rude so they didn't say this but that's the message you get when no one will allow you to have a shower to go home!! Actually - full disclosure I was offered to keep our room on but they wanted €60, daylight robbery so I politely declined.  Come on enalion sort it out.

A beautiful place

We returned to the Enalion Suites after a 5 year hiatus (covid got in the way!)
Nothing had changed, it is as beautiful as ever with views over the gardens, pool and sea which produced some amazing sunsets.
Maria was as busy as always, ensuring everyone had breakfast juice, tea and coffee! And that all guests were well looked after during their entire stay.
Andy who worked on reception was always willing to telephone for a taxi at a moments notice for guests, she offered to enquire about ferry times and prices for a trip over to Ihaka on our behalf, which was extremely helpful.
Rooms are kept very clean and tidy by the hardworking housekeeping staff on a daily basis!
We hired a car for 3 days which was amazing, it’s a stunningly beautiful island and one of the many highlights which was suggested by the car hire company representative was to drive up to the National Park, Mount Ainos, the road although winding felt very safe as we drove slowly to the top, OMG the trees! The scenery and views as we drove through the mist at times was truly breathtaking. We parked at the top and walked deep into the forest we were above the clouds which overlooked the coastline below. 
We can honestly say it was a truly magical, ethereal, spiritual place, we will definitely go back there when we visit the Enalion Suites, Kefalonia again in the not to distance future. *Top Tip* Take a fleece/lightweight jacket with you as it was deceptively cold up there!
Oh and don’t forget to visit the turtles in Argostoli bay!

Wonderful place, beautiful location and great clean spacious rooms. Plenty of comfy sunbeds and pool area immaculate. Easy access to the local beach and tavernas and bars. We will definitely be returning 

Wonderful Stay

We had looked forward to staying at these apartments since we came across them 5 years ago and so were excited to finally be visiting. However, I must say that sadly we felt that the suites didn’t live up to our expectations. I’m hoping that The Enalion Suites don’t see my review as a negative but take it more as constructive criticism as with some tweaks the accommodation could be wonderful! 
On arrival at the Enalion Suites we were greeted and given a ‘welcome drink’. This was a little disappointing as it was just half a small cup of juice and half a cup of water. If you’re going to offer a welcome drink, make it something that sets the scene of the holiday. A small glass of Prosecco and fresh juice for the teens would have been so much nicer and very much appreciated! 
Our apartment was lovely and spacious, although a little dated. It was very clean and we were happy with it. 
The bar area was terrible and for this I have knocked off one star. We enjoy having a couple of drinks around the pool late afternoon. The setting is perfect for a few drinks! The pool bar area was practically empty with no food or drinks on show, just empty food trays and a few glasses behind the bar. This was a little off-putting as it looked like it wasn’t in use.  However, we ordered two pina coladas and a beer and found that our bill was just short of €30! This explained why the pool bar was practically  empty every day! A small beer is €7 and cocktails (not very good ones at that) were €11 each. Considering we paid only €4 at the square in the middle of Argostoli we found this a ridiculous amount. Also, cocktails from the bar only a short distance from the Enalion Suites has happy house 6-8pm offering amazing cocktails at only €4! The Enalion Suites really need to address this as a few guests complained about the price and quality of the food and drink. As well as an outdoor bar there is also an indoor bar within the reception area but this was closed for the duration of our stay. Again, disappointing and in our opinion was a waste of resources. The accommodation just seemed to lack any real soul to it. No music around the pool which is fine in most instances, but when there are also no reasonable food and drink facilities either it’s a bit lifeless, if that’s the right way to put it. 
We had breakfast included and found that this was served from 8am-10am every day. Which is fine, but considering most guests are from the UK with a 2 hour time difference it means having to set alarm clocks for the first couple of days. Guests commented that 8.30 - 11am might be better. The breakfast wasn’t very good and if we had a choice again we would opt for self catering. We found the buffet very limited,  hot food was cold and the kids (teens) struggled to find anything they liked the look of really. Considering the amount of fantastic bakeries in Kefalonia I was surprised there weren’t more fresh croissants, baklava, fresh bread etc. everything just seemed cheap. On a couple of occasions we decided to eat elsewhere as we couldn’t be bothered getting up and ready to go to a buffet that wasn’t very appetising. For this I have knocked off another star. 
The apartments are self catering but should you want to cook anything you will be expected to pay for pans to cook with! I’ve never come across this before. Fortunately, I don’t cook when abroad and so this wasn’t an issue but I did find it odd considering the price to stay there! 
All in all we had a good week. The Enalion Suites have so much going for them. The location is stunning with beautiful views and a lovely beach to walk down to. The grounds are kept beautiful. 
Would we stay there again? Only if improvements are made. It currently seems as though everything is done on a shoestring budget. Whilst we empathise for businesses still recovering from Covid, the quality of what was offered was not really what we paid for. 



Improvements needed

Just back from a weeks stay and absolutely loved it. 
We were in suite 1 in the main building. We had 1 balcony looking at the mountains and another to the beautiful grounds and sea. Both balconies were a great size. The suite was very big and immaculate. 
Breakfast - Maria is amazing and so helpful and friendly. She works hard to ensure you are topped up with drinks and help you with any advice on the area. There’s a good selection of food such as yogurt,fruit,ham,cheese,cereal,eggs, bacon, sausage beans,tomatoes etc. Served between 8-10.
Pool- great size and clean as well as a children’s pool. Plenty of beds and parasols. Nice poolside bar for drinks and snacks with an amazing view.there is a small path which leads to the beach. It’s a bit steep but it’s ok. 
The hotel is situated approx a 5-10 min walk from the Main Street. My advice would be to take a small torch as it’s not lit very well and uneven in places. We took one and it came in handy as it was small which fitted into my handbag. 
Overall- quiet , clean, relaxing and well looked after. We definitely go back.
