The place is gorgeous. Not only the hotel, but the bar in the front is also amazing with high quality food and drinks. In addition, the environment is spectacular as you are in the nature , ont he mountains next to a lake. It's a very underrated place and i suggest visiting it.


Aiolides Hotel&Bar

Having stayed at Aiolides back in 2012 and with fond memories, i chose once again to spend 3 nights during July 2020. And i am glad i did! 
The hotel is in perfect condition. Its well maintained surroundings, the green garden, the lovely brand new pool, the professional staff and the nice breakfast (despite the pandemic restrictions) made me smile. 
The room was spacious, well kept and clean, nicely decorated, the bed/amttress was great and the bathroom large and clean. Moreover, Aiolides is in the heart of the small Kalyvia village and only a few minutes walk from the lake beach. 
I highly recommend it!

Over the years, still a fabulous stay in the heart of Lake Plastira

What started as a beautiful visit has turned sour. Why? We have a French Bulldog who is very well behaved and travels everywhere with us. We phoned ahead and checked if he would be accepted - the manager was consulted and stated yes.
We arrived and were welcomed. The room is divine with the open fire. Having been to the restaurant 2 days before our stay, we were aware that Louis the Frenchie was welcomed. First breakfast - greeted with smiles and Louis was a hit. Second breakfast - today - empty restaurant and we are told Louis is not allowed. We explained we had checked ahead and also that Louis has been in here many times already. No - the answer is no dogs. Now we are left not knowing if we can stay with 1m of snow around us.
Moral is you cannot trust this hotel on their word - they change their mind. Worse still, the duty manager sent another staff member to tell us as clearly did not want to deal with this herself - poor leadership.

Preferential Treatment to others

we had  beautiful experience staying in this beautiful place, very clean, cozy environment, very comfortable!  i suggest to all visitors of this area to stay and enjoy the hospitality and beautiful food as well as the gardens and the panoramic view of the lake!

Beautiful cozy, traditional apartments

The rooms are beautiful and confortable.The breakfast nothing special. What is really frustrating is that they charge you if you need extra wood for the fire place. 5€ - 7kg. This is very unprofessional and embarrassing. Not recommended. Will never prefer again such places. 

Confortable rooms, Poor services

This was a well appointed Superior Room with a canopy bed , luxurious Drapes, and 
a Very Good King size bed . We had control of the 2 electric HVAC units and there was even one in the Bathroom. Regards to some of the comments about the wifi not working in the room, we ran 2 Iphones and 2 Ipads in our room , and even streamed 
CNN with no problems 

The second floor rooms have a wonderful view, and you can have room service deliver your Breakfast so, weather permitting you can sit on the balcony and see the Lake and The Mountains at the same time.
    We ate dinner in the Restaurant/Bar one evening and the mixed grill was very good , especially the Sausage, and the Lamb Chops . They had a fried Feta, covered in a mixed pumpkin carrot  marmalade/Jam that was out of this world .
The wine selection was extensive , especially for a small Village in the mountains of Greece.
  Sat night they have Live music which unfortunately for us we missed , because the walk to the waterfalls and Horse back riding had us pooped.
  A lot of the staff were fluent in English, and they did everything  to see that all our needs were met.
Georgia was a Beautiful, friendly Hostess who focused on every detail for us.She even called ahead to another Restaurant to take exceptional care of us and we were treated very well there. 
  Demetra at the front  desk could not have been more friendly , and informative, as was  the Barman.
 The Lake that this resort is on , is fairly large. But the location of this property 
is so convenient you can stay in the town, because it has a drug store, a Kiosk, and a Bakery that carries some essential staples.
  If you feel like venturing out , there is horseback riding, water sports , bicycling and a nice Cafe on the Lake that is very close ( 1 Mi. ) 
 There is also a fine restaurant in the town within walking distance and a few taverns so you can really lay back, and recharge .
 This place is a mountain dream come true.
We will be back!

Mountains and  Lake , Dream Come True

We visited aiolides on a low season time. The room was big, very nicely decorated with a large bed, fire place with free wood ti burn, lovrly breakfast served in a basket in our room, reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and very keen to help us. It was a really nice stay at plastira lake!
