Super friendly staff and greta location when in Ios. Close to the bus which takes you to Mylopotas and other beaches and centre with restaurants, bars and clubs within 5 minutes walk. You get free transfer from the owner to and from the ferry.

Great location and value for money

I booked something last minute here and have not regretted it at all! This cute little place only minutes walk from the main town is wonderfully run by a warm kind hearted family that cater to all your needs and are thereto help you at anytime of the day wether it be advice on where to eat or something work g in your room! I will definitely be coming back here!! They made the stay in Ios that much more special!

George's Place 

Amazing small little place situated very centred of the main village. The couple who own this place were more than kind to my friends and i, always offering help and checking if we are okay. The rooms are tidy and are well looked after. Definitely somewhere i recommend if passing through Ios for a night or two or staying with friends. Very good option for travellers with a small budget, this family who own it are beautiful people and i thank them

Amazing

This place was great! We met the owner in the port and booked a room for a Good price.
The hotel itself is super close to everything. Walking distance to town and mylopotas beach (if you don't mind walking) and if you don't want to walk to mylopotas you can just take the bus that stops really close to the hotel!
The best gyro in Ios (pleasure) is also really close and you can buy crepes right next to the gyro restaurant! 
Great location, great place but the wi-fi doesn't really work al the time!

Location location location!

Positives: George the owner is a kind gentleman. The rooms were very clean. The location is good.

Negatives: 

Mis-selling. dishonesty and unprofessional behaviour towards customers. 

The fact that I had paid for a deluxe room with a balcony but was given the first room on the ground flour with a shared open walkway. I had requested by messaging and asking verbally too to be allocated a top floor room with a balcony. This was ignored and Elena, the owners daughter told me on the first day that they were fully booked and she couldn’t give me a top floor room. 

I found the room I was given was depressing as I had to keep the curtains closed due to other guests passing up and down outside in the walkway.

Although the room was very clean, it was dated and worn out regarding the decor and had been cheaply furnished.

On the 2nd day, due to the shower room not being adequately built for health and safety (due to shower area having no ledge to stop water flowing out into the rest of the shower room), I had a fall when I came out of the shower. Also due to the wear and tear and cheap shower fitment, a knob attached to the shower unit came apart. I couldn’t fit it on again.

I will due to leave the place at 11:00 am to be dropped off to the port by George for a 12:00 noon ferry. The drive is 10 minutes.

Due to the fall, I called Elena in their office from the room and told her I need some extra time to get over the fall and leave at about 11:30. I told her I will vacate the room but sit outside to gather myself as I was in pain on my knee and hip after the fall. 

She told me she couldn’t understand what I was saying ( very strange as her English was very good up to now). She then came to knock on the room door exactly at 11 and ushered me out claiming she had new guests moving in so she had to ‘organise’ everything.

I again mentioned to her about leaving a bit later but she refused and I was told to go in the van. When she asked me how the stay was, I told her again that I had booked a deluxe balcony room but got a ground floor room which I found depressing to stay in. She flatly denied that my booking had guaranteed a balcony. She said she didn’t see it on the booking. This was shockingly dishonest be hmmmmm if Elena.

I have the booking and it’s clearly stated what I booked.

I got in touch with Booking.com customer service to ask for a partial refund as I felt I had been mis-sold the room and also the room was not safe due to the shower flood and fall I had. 
I have pictures to show the flood, the knob of the shower fixture and also the booking confirmation stating I had a deluxe room with a balcony. I sent all these to the property and Booking.com too. 

Booking.com got back to me and said that the property had refused a refund or an apology of what happened to me. They also told me that the property claimed I had damaged something! That was the shower knob that came away! 

I then called the property to ask about what exactly was the damage and Margerita, the owners other daughter picked up the phone. I asked to speak to Elena but was told she was not available. I explained to Margerita about the danger in the shower etc and she started shouting at me! She claimed I should have got a doctor to check my injury there and then etc. I was trying to tell her I couldn’t as I had a ferry to Santorini. She screaming and shouting madly. She was like a woman possessed, shouting so loudly at me and not listening to my explanation. It was very unprofessional and shocking and I feel very depressed about this episode and the dishonesty portrayed by Elena. 

I have attached pictures to show how the shower room flooded and of the knob fitting that came away. 

I may make a complaint to the Ios tourist board as they are not running the place safely and professionally.

I had a very depressing solo stay here.

If I could I would give 0 points: I contacted this property by phone and was told that this specific house was not available, but that they had another studio available at an affordable price. I replied that it was fine with me and then asked to see it. I was told that they would send me the photographs the next day. I contacted them again the next day and discovered that the apartment had been booked on the internet and the owner had not notified me either that there was a site where I could see the house or that anyone was making a reservation... as a result I was left without accommodation! To my complaints, the staff appeared insensitive, because they also manage other facilities and they didn't even bother to look for an alternative solution in their hotel. They only gave me the numbers of other guesthouses, all occupied, whose prices they didn't even know. Truly a terrible experience, I advise you to stay away.

How embarassing

George the man who owns this place is a psychopath to say the least.  I would never recommend staying at this place.  I was actually scared for my safety. Room was dirty, cockroaches everywhere. When we complained about it he became extremenly agressive. please BECAREFUL OF THIS MAN.

Terrifying.

Don't get fooled by the other reviews I have stayed in this hotel and it was the worst experience ever. There were bugs under the sheets and in the towels. The room was awfull with very little light during the day. There were spiders and spiderwebs around and under the beds. This is obviously a sign of insufficient cleaning. The sink was about to fall down so we were afraid to put things on it or even wash our hands. We saw cockroaches too. It was also really expensive, there are cheaper places to stay with much better accomodation.
