Menigos resort is very dirty, equipped with old furniture and above all not worth of paid money.

Do not trust the photos from Booking and other sites, the photos do not show the real state of the apartments, which is really below every expectation.

I would also like to say that first 2 nights (out of 10) we were placed in the apartment all the way uphill, which we did not book at all, and the host has rejected our refund request (no specific reason) and they accused us that we caused 300 euros damage in the apartment, which is totally not true, that did not happen.

Other than that, the beach is really nice and sandy (sometimes windy), the sea is very clean.

Awful experience

We stayed for 8 nights in August 2019. I have been the many studios in Greece before,  it this is the worst by far. We were given top floor, with a view,  but the apartment inside wasn’t impressive. The hostess said that it was the upgraded one which I couldn’t believe at the apartment was very poorly maintained. Our toilet started leaking in day 2, the bathroom drain was clogged. The towels were changed every two days, not everyday. 

The location of the hotel is ok, the beach is nice, there are bars and taverna. However, if you want to go to the old town, it will take you at least half an hour in one direction. 

 Not satisfied

This is for sure the worst accommodation we ever reserved for summer vacation. We paid 140 euros per night for ground floor apartmant in second row, and it was not wort not this money, but not even 50 euros per night. We received dirty and old apartment, and we had a very rood host who didn't want to talk, but just concluded that we have nothing to complain about but we just want to lower the price. You can see the pictures, they talk for them selves. The beach is fine, the little yard too, but the accommodation - never again. Things would be much better if the host said: I am sorry, I will try to fix this by giving another ground floor apartment or lower the price for this one. But no! He was even rood to us. So be avare of this resort, be sure to communicate which exactly apartment you are getting for your money.

Worst accommodation for summer vacation we ever reserved

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. It was amazing. Cristal waters and an amazing view. The hotel was very good too. The staff very helpfull with all our needs and the cooking was very tasty.

Vacations

This is the worst holiday accommodation I have ever experienced. The listing for the property is not truthful, for example, there is no swimming pool just access to a small one at a restaurant 5 minutes down the road, only a handful of the apartments are beach-front, the Wi-Fi is non-existent and there is no outside space or BBQ. The apartments are furnished and equipped in the most basic fashion, for example, worn-out towels, no sharp knives and limited mismatched, old crockery and glassware, and are also not maintained well, for example, a cable from a portable cooker taped together half-way along and broken door handles and toilet flushes. We were also moved from one apartment to another after one night with no explanation. While initially the staff listened and tried to help, the manager was extremely defensive and refused a face-to-face meeting, eventually denying she even was the manager. The day before I flew home I was chatting to a local taverna owner who said they had heard only bad things about this accommodation and that the company was only interested in taking people’s money and not in providing a good service. This was certainly my experience. On my return home, I wrote to the owner but heard nothing. My holiday was wrecked by the total misrepresentation of Glyfada Beach Apartments, the unprofessional manner in which the property was managed, the lack of maintenance and appropriate furnishing and presentation of the apartments and the ongoing need to communicate everything that was wrong to the staff. Fortunately, I have reclaimed the full cost of this accommodation through my credit card as well as a small amount of compensation from the agency I booked it through. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Appalling holiday accommodation

Stayed here as a teenager with my family like over 35 years ago 'recall it being a great place for watersports eg ' i only remember the 1 taverna on the far end of the beach ' i think the Menigos was being constructed at the time ' also stayed in a big villa up in the hill on the far side of the beach ' great sunsets to watch from there.

Good memories!

Beautiful spot but they really need to sort the rubbish problem it smells and looks awful! Our apartment is clean spacious and has a nice view. Staff very helpful, pictures on Booking.com are accurate. No WiFi though and tv channels poor. 

Great spot 

We stayed here recently for several nights. The beach is great and the water is clear and clean. The room was clean and sufficient for our purposes. It was not a bad room, but nor was it more than we expected. The A/C worked as did the other things in the room. The beach was close, accessible and clean, which is what we most sought. 
We were disappointed the hotel did not provide beach chairs, but we could sit on the beach for free. The restaurant that seems to be associated with the resort was a mixed bag. They were fine for coffee or light breakfast fare, but the kitchen did not hold promise for more extensive meals so we found other places to eat. As long as your expectations are not excessive, you'll be quite happy here.

Met expectations next to the beach

We stayed here in September, before booking I explained my Mum couldn't walk too far (she has a wheelchair) but can manage some steps and some walking.

We arrived at approx 10pm, no-one was there to meet us (these apartments dont have any reception) we had to go down and up 2 flights of stairs to get into the apartment, which was a massive concern.  The cab driver who dropped us off didn't speak much English so nothing I could do.  There was no water or any basic welcome pack in the room, so we went to the tavarna next door (again back down the stairs) to get water and some food.  Meal was expensive but OK.

In the morning we called Agilse to explain that the apartment was unsuitable due to all the stairs and how difficult it was for me carrying the wheelchair up & down them (as nowhere safe to leave it downstairs.  I asked if they had anywhere else we could stay, but nothing else had any less steps.  I said we couldn't stay there as my Mum couldn't manage all the stairs.  Her solution was to say she could ask someone from the bar to carry my Mum down when we wanted to leave!!

We had paid 140 euros a night, for a small 2 bed apartment that was unsuitable, so I advised her we couldn't stay.  I had only booked the apartment the day before (as it was a last minute break) I was advised there would be a cancellation charge (which I understand.  We moved to a wonderful apartment in Roda, which was only 50 euros a night and soooo much better.

On arriving to the UK I found out the FULL amount had been taken for my stay!!  I complained several times on email and messages, but no response.  I have asked my bank to investigate, but not holding out much hope.  

I think this is disgraceful but no idea how I can try to get my money back.  But in short avoid this place like the plague, very expensive, terrible customer service and very expensive resort.  So many much better places to stay in Corfu.

Awful Place

I contacted the hotel directly and they accepted my reservation with them. They told me they needed a 25% deposit on my stay and because I would be making it with a credit card they would charge 2% extra for this convenience.
I agree and on April 19th they charged my credit card. They sent me a confirmation that this was done.
We arrived at the hotel and although it was nothing special, it was fine. A representative of the owner, Adisa, came to our suite and she wrote out how much we owed for the balance and I paid her in cash as she said their credit card machine wasn't working. I later checked the original booking and realized we overpaid. I contacted the owner via text message as we were going to be leaving soon. He told me that he would check the card and refund our money and we don't have to worry.
We left the resort and returned home to Canada.
4 months later and many back and forth phone calls, emails and text messages with proof from my bank that we were in fact charged the 25% deposit and the owner has not refunded us. We are out $250 Canadian dollars. This man stole from us while we were at his resort on our honeymoon.

I would never recommend you stay at this resort. We visited Paleokastritsa while on the island and it was much better suited for a holiday - beautiful with amenities and you don't have to have a car to be there unlike the Glyfada Menigoes resort.
