DON'T GO!
the facility is very disappointing. 
we paid for 4 nights, ran away the next day , lost our money.
far from the beach, old spring mattrass that didn't allow us to sleep, noisy bathroom doors woke us up, a/c cant be set as wish, just a cattle no cutleries or dishes, no way to warm food. small noisy fridge. breakfast is a bad joke.  

RUN AWAY. don't trust the pictures.

Brilliant location,great pool  area - air con available - Traditional Greek accomodation kettle fridge etc - also WiFi good bar snacks and drinks but above all fantastic staff - thank you George & Mama (Elena) made our holiday

Best Traditional simple Greece ever

I would never stay in this apartment again! The rooms are very basic but that wasn’t the problem, there was 6 of us and was spread between 3 rooms in one of the rooms it wasn’t even a prober bed it was a camping bed! We was only given one toilet roll between the rooms and it soon ran out when we asked for more we were told no! We need to buy it from the supermarket! We also asked for clean towels and was refused! We had to go out and buy towels. We went self-catering and both the managers soon got an attitude when we wasn’t spending money at their bar. The manager ‘the man’ kept screaming and shouting at my children to be quiet! Which made myself and my children very uncomfortable half way threw I just wanted to go home I was reduced to tears! On the last day we agreed to pay 20 euros to keep one of the rooms until 7pm as we had a late flight and needed to be able to keep our belongings some where and to also be able to change the children. All the rooms were ready to give back and all our belongings were in one room. The lady came to clean the rooms and we said we’re just going to the shop once we’re back will pay for the room the lady was fine with it! When we got back from the shop she had locked my children and their older cousin in the room with the master key so they were unable to unlock it from the other side! She denies doing it then starts screaming and shouting at us throwing all our things out getting very up close and pushing us she become extremely aggressive and We all felt very threatened! She behaved like this in front of two young children. They come across as nice and friendly but in fact are very horrible people! The woman makes out she can’t speak English but she understands alright. As soon as you start asking for things and not spending your money at their bar you’ll start to see a complete different side to them. We went self-catering for a reason. We wasn’t rude or disrespectful and we never brought our food or drinks by the pool we always went back to our rooms to eat/drink. The rooms kept flooding as the plug is obviously blocked we cleaned it up ourselves but made the lady aware but she denies that it does that but I’ve got pictures to prove it! After throwing all our things we literally just had to grab what we could and leave as she was becoming more and more aggressive! We were unable to take all our things. We waited by the corner away from the lady and the rooms so we could put all the stuff in our bags to which she then comes to us dragged my sister back to the apartment to clean but my sister managed to leave the room while being screamed at! 

This apartment needs to come off love holiday it also needs to be a adult only apartment. It needs to be put under new management!! 

I have pictures and video evidence to prove how horrible we were treated!

Avoid! Especially if you have children

After reading the reviews I was seriously anxious. We booked this holiday last minute after a horrendous few weeks. 
We were dropped off at the bottom of a road and pointed in the right direction. Georgo was waiting for us (at 1.15am). He was welcoming and showed us to our room. Yes the rooms are basic but they are most definitely clean. The only drawback was nothing to cook on and no dishes. The following day we went out and bought two lidded tubs and some wooden forks. We could now have salads and cereals.
The pool is set in stunning gardens. It's very well cared for. The couple who run it are lovely. They both work so hard. 
Some reviews said that the couple turned funny towards them when they started to eat away from the apartments. This never happened to us. Also someone mentioned that they were shouted at for eating their own food around the pool. Surely no matter where you live you can't eat your own food where that service is already being delivered. That's not good manners. They provide a menu so try something off that. They will appreciate it. Also. They get fined if they are caught letting you eat your own food. It's a serious tax thing in Greece.
As for Agios Georgios south, it's perfect. The beach area is peaceful. We didn't have a bad meal anywhere. We highly recommend Seagulls and Rouvelos. Also Billy's for a quick street food meal and the pizzas at Alex were amazing.
As for our favourite bar you can't beat Amazona. Angela and Toni were amazing hosts. Made you feel welcome and got to know you. 
We will return to beautiful Aghios Georgious South.

Perfectly peaceful

I never ever wrote a bad review in my life, but i have the feeling that i should warn people out there. 
My friends and I had two rooms with two beds each. The appartments were runned by an elderly, nice couple, with poor english. Or at least they acted like that, which I will write about later. 
At first, we were a little shocked because we didn't expect the appartments to be that remote (15 minutes walk to the beach) and also the rooms were more than basic (only kitchen-stuff available were two glasses, a sink and a fridge - no cleaning stuff, notging heat up food). Also two bed-sheets had blood-stains on it and generally it looked quite old and used (showers barley worked well, one toilet couldn't flush at some point, no electricity for a few hours at day one, etc.).  Also the air-conditioning is not included (6€/day) and there are tons of mosquitos which prevented me from sleeping the first days (it took as a while to find a proper-working repel against them). 
We thought 'ok, at least it is cheap', our expectations were quite low anyway, the pool was really nice and also the owners seemed to be quite gentle. So 4/5 stars until now, because the cost-value ratio was honestly still ok and as long as the owners were nice, I would even feel a little a little sorry for them, that they can't provide better accomodation. 
But these thoughts would chance soon. So the point that made our stay in the appartment that bad, were in the end the owners. On the first day, we consumed lunch and a few drinks at the hotel-bar, which was probably the reason, why they behaved so friendly. But as soon as we started to consume stuff from the local supermarkets instead, they started to get rude. We were not allowed to drink our own drinks at the hotel pool and the owner was not telling that gently, but screaming at us right away. They only gave us toilet paper, clean glasses, etc. after long (and loud) dicussions. They shouted, that we should buy cleaning stuff/toilet paper from the supermarket, if we need it. Also the owner told me very rude, that if we want to eat something, we should generelly do it in their bar. 
Also these people act like they don't understand english, but at least the woman understands it good enough. I told her at one point 'don't act, as if you don't understand english, i know you do' which magically made her look shocked and stop screaming at me for a few seconds. 
For me personally the worst thing was reading reviews about them stealing stuff from other guests. So I would not leave the appartments again, without photographing my belongings and putting a sock or something closely behind the door, so I could see if somebody entered the room or not. 
At some point, we started to drink a beer when we stayed at the pool, because we didn't want these fights in our holidays and I personally was quite scared of them. Also I stopped asking them for stuff like fresh glasses. They started to act nicer again. 
So I would not recommend anybody to stay there. It was the cheapest appartments we could find, but I learned my lesson to read the reviews about the accomodation properly next time and invest a few euros more in a better appartment, if so. I did not feel save there. And I have stayed at a lot of places, cheaper too, but I never had a bad experince like that.

Worst appartment ever - warning

Of course, expectations and experience are crucial to reviews. If stepping back in time and reliving the teenage Cofiat experience of clean but ultra-basic accommodation provided by a weary and untrusting property owner is your thing, then look no further than the Elena Pool Apartments. A fridge and 2 glasses were the sum total of luxuries provided, without even the offer to use the safety deposit box and aircon in there for payment. The balcony doors simply pushed open from the balcony side, so security was zero, and luggage must be left outside behind a bush once you have vacated your room and have a later flight. They whole building needs a complete repaint inside and out, preferably by someone who can actually see what they're doing. On the plus side, there was always enough hot water, and the pool is cleaned regularly and nice to use, if a little lacking in a relaxed atmosphere due to the aforementioned, who gets a little frosty if he cottons on that you'll be eating and drinking elsewhere. Would benefit from an 'Under New Management' sign outside.

My sister and I are just finishing a week's holiday. The rooms are basic but we didn't expect luxury for the very cheap price. The owners are so friendly and helpful, I can't understand the negative reviews, they can't do enough to make you feel welcome. It's been just what we needed. It's around 10 minutes walk from the beach and bars but the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We would definitely come back.

Really good value for money and such a relaxing holiday

We loved our break at Elena Pool apartments and our young children had a great time. We had a two bedroom apartment which although basic, was very clean and spacious. The pool was lovely and well maintained and there were lots of loungers and umbrellas. It was very quiet probably due to Covid but we didn’t want anywhere lively, and it was nice and quiet at night. The staff were very sweet and kind. We had a hire car for the week otherwise it’s a bit of a walk to the town centre for little legs. Beautiful beaches nearby and good dining out options.

Relaxing break

Just getting ready to leave to fly back to uk, we have had a lovely stay at the Elena pool for 10 days, nice relaxing little apartments with a beautiful pool to cool off in, we went bed and breakfast and enjoyed our toast, coffee orange and cooked breakfast of eggs tomatoes fried potatoes and small potion of beans cooked by the lovely lady and her husband, who are so friendly, if your looking for a relaxing holiday I recommend

Lovely quiet apartments

I’ve been visiting St George for 20+ years as my family absolutely adore it here, and have been visiting for generations. Usually we don’t stay here, but for the price we decided to give it a go as we don’t spend much time in our room anyway. The rooms are basic, VERY basic which I don’t usually mind but the beds were so difficult to get used to as they felt lumpy, and the fridge was dirty and barely cold. My main gripe however is on our last day, we were sat in the room ready to checkout, with the door open to let some air in, when the female owner that speaks little English came in unannounced and started routing through our open case on the floor, ushering that she wanted a dress!! She then started searching around our balcony and bathroom for other things, making hand gestures towards the case. As two young girls this was quite scary and confusing, I went and got my dad from his room and only then did she leave, it was awful. We left ASAP after this and contacted Yannis, owner of the Ananias hotel, he came and collected us in his van and we remained at the Ananias for the rest of the day where we would usually stay, and after this experience probably won’t go anywhere else. The worst part is that this isn’t even a one off, some family friends recently stayed here and the same situation happened to them midway through their holiday, resulting in them moving hotels as they felt unsafe. If you want to feel safe, please don’t stay here, there’s so many other nice hotels in the resort.
