Staying at villa Alexandros makes my vacations better!
Jenevieve, the lady who makes the bookings, is a very helpful person at the right position.
The room was very good with a small kitchen that helped my stay, I had a very beautiful balcony from where I could see all the port of Batsi.

Had a lovely well needed relaxing long weekend at Villa Alexandros. The owners of the place did everything possible to make the stay enjoyable. A lovely room with a balcony with beautiful view over the sea. A kitchenette with everything you could possibly need. A confy bed! Everything neat and clean. We could reach a small beach with sand and cliffs by 5 min walk - just cross the road. We just loved the place.
It is possible to go around the small island by local bus. But of course it is easier if you have a car - and in that case you can easier reach small villages of special interest.

Maybe it had something to do with the warm temperature (after a cold Belgian winter) or maybe it was the fact that it was low season on the island, but what's for sure is that the location near to the centre of lovely Batsy (and the room with a view) or the hospitality of our two hosts had a positive impact from the first moment on. In low season the appartment was very peaceful (exactly what we needed), the lady of the house gave us good advise about the city center, transportation (bus vs autostop), 'our' beach ('though we didn't see dolphins), the situation of Greece (and the crisis, the island in winter,...). Although I like to see every spot on the world (and that takes a lot of time), I'll go back one day (in the near future)...
It might be difficult to visit the island as you should (to see all the beaches and nice places) if you don't have a car !

Visited Alexandros Villa in Batsi for a relaxing week with my girlfriend,aiming at a "beach"holiday.Must say we weren't much in our room,only for a shower and a rest.However even if one requests more,the accomodation has nothing to offer.It is clearly a room for rent,with kitchen facilities if one wishes to cook while on holiday.Perfectly clean,fantastic beach/sea view from our water front room.Very quite so one could have a good sleep.Only 10 minutes walking distance from the little town of Batsi,which has a few bars and restaurants for a relaxing evening by the sea.No actual parking is available,so if you take a car keep in mind you will be parking on the side of the street.
Note that no breakfast is available,but you can go to the nearby local bakery for some pies.

As title said, you get what you pay for. This is a descent room for 35 euros per night (double bed).
It was clean, it was located in good spot but with no view due to front buildings, it lacked descent parking space. Hosts were really polite.
It is recommended for those types who are indifferent for their rooms, and are interested in exploring the island and spend minimum time in room, having a bath and a goodnight sleep.
Those who seek convenience and luxury should skip it.
