Stayed at Sissy for one week.  Cannot beat the price or location.  5 minute walk to the market and 3 minute walk to a great beach with beverage service and. covered lounge chairs.  The bathroom is tiny but water pressure is consistent and always plenty of hot water.  The mini-refrigerator is perfect for bottled water, juice, fruit, & snacks.

Our stay was very disappointing for 3 main reasons:
1. Cleanliness  - we stayed 8 days and the room was only cleaned ONCE (!!). 
2. Staff - For the last 3 days of our stay, there wasn't even a single staff member in the hotel. It was completely empty. When we arrived, there wasn't anyone either, we called and were to told where to find the key to our room. None cleaning anywhere. The communal kitchen was dirty and the bins were full
3. Bathroom - As per other comments, the shower space is particular small, so when you shower the whole bathroom gets wet. Plus there was a sewage smell coming from it most of the time

Positive:
- It's 2 minutes away from the nicest beach in the island.

Disappointing Stay

This was a very disappointing property on numerous levels. From a dead cockroach (which remained there for our entire 5 night stay) on the balcony to the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. The shower recess was about 60cm x 60cm with yet again a shower curtain (I am not sure why so many hotels still use these) which needed to be thrown away. The entire bathroom was about 1.3m x 1.6m
There were no coffee & tea making facilities in the room. They were kind enough to purchase an electric kettle which was kept in the communal kitchen located down stairs under reception. However you needed to purchase your own water, coffee, milk and sugar. This was done from the local supermarket about half a kilometre away.
Although it was near a few restaurants on the beach you really needed to catch a taxi to anywhere else on the island. The main port was about 5km away and worth a few visits. The marina on the other side of the island (about 15km away) would be the best place to stay as everything is close and walk-able.
The beds were two single beds pushed together with very hard mattresses which caused us hip pain until we left. The building seemed to be lacking any maintenance, was tired and run down. Our door jam had been broken and not repaired as with the toiled which we needed to lift the cover so we could flush. We did point out these shortcomings but it fell on deaf ears. Probably best left alone.

Clean hotel, very friendly and helpful staff! Beautiful garden with lots of lemon trees. Good location for beaches. A great place! Would recommend highly. The temple on the island is worth a visit, as is the monastery. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. 😀😀😀
