A perfect place for your comfort,safety,awesome environment and a hotel with great services.located in the plush vicinity of Ahodwo in kumasi -Ghana. Truly a place to have your peace of mind as you go about your duties.

A place of comfort 

Foul smell in the bathroom, water turned on and off, and unpredictable power outages. Front desk was helpful but sometimes forgot simple requests until I reminded them. Breakfast was modest, with little in the way of variety.

Inexpensive hotel with adequate facilities

Hotel did not have confirmation. It took several call attempts to Expedia to fix problem. Room was terrible. Broken lamps, Toilet broken, floor dirty and, privacy sign not respected

The Crystal Rose Ambassador Hotel is a new hotel - rather confusingly located around the corner from the Crystal Rose Hotel, so do not get them mixed up.

We held a big conference at the Crystal Rose Ambassador Hotel and it can only be described as a living nightmare and a complete embarrassment. Apparently the hotel had been closed for 2 years and we were the first guests after refurbishment. The hotel was obviously not ready for us. Upon checking in we faced a multitude of problems. First of all there was no electricity so the reception staff told our guests that they could not check them in and then  left them waiting in the dingy lobby. When that was sorted we faced a problem in most rooms: No running water, no bed in one room, people got locked in, plug sockets not working, doors not locking, windows not closing, light bulbs not fitted.... I could go on. 

Since we were the first people to stay there, the beds were new, so we couldn't complain about those. The duvets had no covers on though - so I feel sorry for subsequent guests! The small touches made the place look unprofessional, tags on towels, tables and fridges still in wrapping etc.

On the one hand the staff tried their best and went around with a list of problems, trying to fix them. On the other had they were unprofessional, laughing at our complaints. When I asked whether a fire alarm system was fitted I was laughed at. The staff were not organised enough to serve drinks to our guests and we, as conference organisers had to micro manage every last detail of the hotel.

The conference venue was not at all set up when we arrived and we spent hours in the evening arranging it to our preference. Although, in the end, the event went quite well and it has to be said that the conference team were much better than the hotel team. The food was also very nice and served on time.

Overall, the hotel had a lot of potential but has been finished to very low standard, mirrors and plug socket had jagged edges and doors had a one inch gap where they should have closed. If this is how they are starting, I can only see standards falling.The hotel were very apologetic when we left and agreed to a discount, however upon receiving the bill, we were outraged that they had charged us for around 20 as many times drinks as we consumed and then offered a discount on drinks. The accountant took several attempts to get basic calculations in the invoice correct.If the hotel had dealt with us more elegantly with regards to the final bill, I may have been tempted to put the problems down to teething problems but in reality this hotel is unprofessionally managed and I would never go back again and I would never recommend it to anybody!
