We got our first hotel pilgrim stamp at this hotel. They let us leave our backpacks early before we checked in.  They have a sweet little deck where you can enjoy a glass of wine and look out over the street.  The rooms were comfortable and they had a fan which was fantastic in the summer heat and also great for ensuring that our laundry dried before the next day!  

Moselle Camino Tries-Karden

I was staying at this place in april 18. Its family owned hotel. Excellent service. The owners are really good people. The guy even dropped me near eltz castle. This is the place you want to stay if you are in treis-karden

Excellent experience

With our family of four, we visited this beautiful hotel/ restaurant Stiftstor early August 2023.
For starters we enjoyed the salad buffet with many fresh salads. As main course we had 2 Hubertus, one Tropical chicken and one pepper steak. Very tasty meals. The dry red and white was also a perfect match with the food. The service was very pleasant and friendly. Good place to enjoy a delicious German dinner.

The Mosel valley is a very old-fashioned German holiday area mostly frequented by the 70-plus crowd - which means it's beautiful, backpacker-free and full of old world charm. Treis-Karden is a lovely little town full of half-timbered houses, and Weinhaus am Stifstor is an old inn where wine has been made and served for many generations. Rooms are simple but cozy, the place is cavernous and somewhat quirky, and the restaurant is above average. Best of all, though, they serve plenty of fresh Riesling, which can be taken on a nice little terrace.The place is excellent value, quiet, central and friendly. What's not to like?

Quaint old-fashioned wine hotel, a place where life is good.

We stopped there for lunch and we were delighted with our choice . Great German food , very nice decor and cool atmosphere . The service was a bit slow even if there were only a small number of guests . Prices were in line with what we paid elsewhere in the Rhine-Palatine area !

Very good restaurant !

We visited the restaurant with visitors from England. There is a large selection and varied menu. All food is freshly made  and excellent. The restaurant is typically Germany and thankfully kept all the traditional decor. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food and service

We stopped off here in Karden for just one night. The hotel was amazing. The staff were so friendly and so helpful. The room was wonderful. 
The breakfast was lovely. 
If you're going to Karden, please use this hotel. It really is verry good.

Wir hielten hier in Zettingen für nur eine Nacht. Das Hotel war unglaublich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war wunderbar. 
Das Frühstück war sehr schön. 
Wenn du zu Karden gehst, Bitte verwenden Sie dieses Hotel. Es ist wirklich sehr gut.

We waren in dit hier voor een nachtje. Het hotel was ongelooflijk. Het personeel vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. De kamer was mooi en zeer proper.
Als je naar Karden gaat, neem dan dit hotel!! Het is een aanrader, werkelijk zeer goed!!
