Very nice and charming hotel. Good customer service. Good location in Lindau. The room was small but it was enough for a couple. They had install a big fan in the room and that did help a lot with the heat.

Charming hotel

Size of the room is small but this was indicated in the description. It is a bit tight for a family with a small child but it did the job for one night. The room was recently renovated including separate toilet and bathroom.One point that could be improved is the size of the curtain that is not wide enough to block the light completely.The Lindau island is small and everything is easily accessible in walking distance.I can's assess breakfast as I did not take it at the hotel.A bit expensive for what it is but I think this is common to all hotels in Lindau.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately, the reception is only open for a very short amount of time, which resulted in a lot of traipsing around with suitcases in the rain! Apart from that, it was a lovely place, at a good price as well!

Good value for money 

Little and old-fashioned bathroom, with poor ventilation. However, shower cabine was great. Wifi not a big deal... Room number 8 was enormous, even for 3 persons. Clean and parfumed towels were a must. haribos were offered, very nice. Breakfast was very good, with fruit salad, 2 different juices, very good bread and boiled egg.

Great Location

1, next to a big road, you can hear cars coming & going, not crazy though
2, no elevator
3, it's an old house made by wood, no soundproof, so you can hear people walking and wood floor squeeze. A room near us with a baby crying, another room with people talking shouting... Whether quiet or not, depends.
4, we had a room for 3, room is big, no decor, bathroom tiny like those in japan
basin water doesn't flow out well, informed them, didn't see improve
5, check-in / check-out time is limited, they work like 7:30-12, then afternoon again, but they will arrange key for you if you arrive late. I never meet the reception, was on the phone with them, was friendly.

old, no elevator, not great but ok for lindau

We happened to reach this place late in the evening and had failed to inform for the late check-in for some reason. We were left with no option but to look for another place to spend that night, as there was no one to answer our phones except the answering machine. Surprisingly the reception is open only till 6 pm. I don't know what would happen in case the guests face some kind of emergency like fire in the middle of the night...  

We had to stay at another hotel that night after a desperate hunt for one, with our Taxi host.

Next morning the person at this hotel refused to cancel or refund our money so we had to shift here for the remaining two nights.

There is nothing good about this hotel for 100 Euros a night, except the location. It is walking distance from the Lindau harbour and the train station and lot of restaurants around. Rooms were small and carpets stained.

I would not suggest this place for anyone, as there will be better options around for the same price!!

Absolute NO except for the location.....

The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was good at an additional fair price.  The rooms need some work, especially the modular bathroom that was installed as it was very small and had a bad odor.  The weather being hot by the lake made it difficult to sleep until almost morning.  Even the cheapest hotels in the USA have air conditioning nationwide.  Most European hotels that have not moved forward since 1940 at least have fans in the room for each bed.  The location was great for getting around the island and eating at some of the central restaurants.  Clean up the bathroom odor or upgrade the bathrooms and get some cheap fans would make this a much nicer stay.
