The large romm with a prfect bathroom and shower will please everyone. The friendliness of the hosts is as we like it. The kitchen is full of varietys with lovely meals. We always look forward to have at the Dorfkrug a special Dinner. Every year we make a trip to this lovely place with our bike and take a brake at Langenargen because it is just the best.

They spoiled us again with their hopitality

It took me a while to confirm that Gasthof Dorfkrug was the place where we stayed for one night last week as part of our cycle tour of Lake Constance, mainly because I didn't recognise the Gasthof from the professional photos. The address is given as Langenargen, but our cycle tour co-ordinators specify that the location is Tunau-Kressbonn (important to know if you're cycling). The Gasthof provides services for holiday-makers staying on the campsite as well as those staying in the guest rooms. 
The reception area is not well sign-posted and we had to wait a while for someone to come and greet us. We made our way up to our room. It was basic, but very clean and comfortable, and reasonably spacious for three people sharing. There was a blind built into the Velux window above where my son slept, but my husband and I had to put our towels over the window near our bed to keep the light out. 
The bathroom was a good size and also very clean. 
The next morning had breakfast on the covered terrace, which was open at one end and therefore gave unlimited access to sparrows determined to share our breakfast (I saw one sparrow try to peck away a piece of butter from the plate of a man seated at the next table). The breakfast selection was limited but okay.

Basic but comfortable facilities in the countryside

A charming family run house near the lake Bodensee.
Nice and tidy with a lovely restaurant and a excelent kitchen.
The menues are realy made with love. Also the service of the Mrs. Olivan is friendly
and professionel.
