We had a delightful time for the 5 days we were here. The garden was in full bloom with roses. It was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. I am gluten-free and the hostess accommodated by buying me gluten-free breads. As mentioned in other reviews, the parking was awkward and a bit stressful, more so because we rented a standard transmission and we were not comfortable with that clutch. Just a very short walk to the bus stop. Lovely!

Very Comfortable Hotel

We stayed at the Pension zur koniglichen Ausspane in September with friends... the location is in Pillnitz, a few minutes outside of Dresden, and the building is part of the old royal stables (Schloss Pillnitz is nearby)... parking is on the street (steep incline) and in a small lot adjacent to the structure... enter through a gated courtyard (they'll buzz you in), which you will have a key for during your stay... the room was very nice, and an excellent German breakfast is served in a dining area on the first floor... nicely furnished with antiques, and family artwork is displayed in hallways... the hosts speak little English, and my German was limited, but it wasn't an issue, and we were able to communicate everything we needed to. Going into Dresden is easy... at the foot of the street is a bus stop, so a short walk and a short ride later by bus and/or streetcar, and you are in the heart of the city without worrying about parking... Very quiet and peaceful location... We would stay here again...
