Visited in 2014, not in 2018, but I can't change it to earlier date. The sheets were dirty and stained with something yellow, besides that, we found some hair in them. Disgusting. Tried to take a shower - what a shame, no water. Some of the staff members were absolutely mean and not helpful at all. There are so many thieves in the area, that the staff leaves flyers warning you about it. I was robbed when staying there. The one camera that should've captured the thief conveniently didn't work, while the other ones seemed to be functioning properly. Watch out.

Below average hostel

We stayed here a few days. Upon entering the room we were quite in shock. One person’s bed (which was supposed to be clean) was full of hair. There were huge stains in the sheets and the curtains (one stain in the curtains looked an awful lot like a bloodstain). 

Random people would try to enter our room at night and several homeless peoplr would come in the hostel to use the facilities (toilets for example). There is absolutely no privacy in the showers. The showers can’t lock and are only covered by a curtain. Strange men could (and would) simply walk in to take a peek at the girls showering.

I can go on but I simply didn’t feel safe. The staff however were very kind and helpful. It’s a shame the facilities aren’t better and clean.

Staff is great, hostel itself very dirty

This Hostel is really dirty.. Don't want to come back. The kitchen is too small, showers and toilets are disguting. Hopefully other people were quiet cool, the only good point.
Oh yes, prices are quiet cool too ^^

Dirty

At first when we arrived at this hostel we immediately wanted to book in somewhere else. The staff were really lovely however, the location of the hostel didn't make us feel safe. The lockers inside the room were tiny so no big bags had anywhere safe to stay, the wifi didn't work in the rooms and the noise from outside was awful. On the other hand, it was a 2 minute walk from a tram station which took you into the centre, the restaurants nearby were AMAZING and even though we didn't feel safe at first, you came to realise people were actually really nice. I would recommend to young travellers but I personally wouldn't stay here again!

Budget hostel

Me and my cousin came to Bucharest for the weekend, and Hostel X was quite a nice last second solution. We arrived late as 00:30 and there were no complications. 
Beds comfortable and tidy, wished there where more 'steckdose' wall connections in the room. We were staying with another 10 people on the same room, everybody well behaved nobody arrived drunk or something from a similar nature. 
Bathrooms clean but with a smell like Clorox. 
There are several lockers to lock your bags which I found pretty nice to keep stuff locked. I did brought my own lock.

There are no towels, but you can rent them for 10 Lei.
