Enjoyed staying here again. Everyone is so friendly and the breakfast is wonderful. Everything about this hotel is so charming.

Family of five, clean rooms, comfortable beds & bathroom shower nice.  Breakfast really good , a plus! Walls a little thin, can hear neighbors talking & laughing. Would stay here again 😁

I really liked this hotel.  Our room on the first (Americans would say "second") floor (16) was spacious, clean, and comfortable.  Even though it was hot outside, the room was comfortable without AC. The restaurant was wonderful, and we ate both lunch and dinner there mutliple times. You need to make reservations for dinner at the restaurant, which you can easily do through the hotel website. Most of the hotel and restaurant staff speak English and had patience with my German. The Steppach Mitte bus stop is about 100 yeards from the hotel.  You can take the bus to streetcar stops.  The closest  streetcar stop is five minutes away by car "Augsburg West P&R" and is a "park and ride."  A car is convenient but not necessary for most to stay here. Parking is an issue at the hotel, especially when the restaurant / beer garden is open.  There is no elevator.  We were initially given a room (31) on the second (Americans would say "third") floor that was small, hot, and dark, with small windows.  The German word that came to my mind was "finster."  We had to stay in that room one night while the hotel staff arranged for a different room the next day.  (The hotel was full.)  The staff did a great job switching our rooms.  The neighborhood is worth exploring.  Kobel Cross and Bismarck Tower--both on hills with spectacular views of  Augsburg--are a mile or so away.  I walked to each multiple times.  I would be remiss if I failed to mention that the breakfasts were simply excellent.

Beautiful facility.  Old charm but with very modern conveniences.  The breakfast was wonderful.  We didn’t eat our evening meal but many locals did.  Authentic German good. Great choice!

This place was absolutely incredible. From the first minute in the door, I felt so well taken care of. The room was beyond amazing- so picturesque and unique. The restaurant food was delicious, and a great intro for someone like me who is new to the area and the dishes. I honestly cant wait to come back!

Do yourself a huge favor and stay here!!

Awesome property and super friendly staff. Just remember Germany doesn't believe in air conditioning so stick to the cooler seasons. 😀

Lived two blocks from Fuchs for years and while I haven't slept there I can recommend the kitchen and the beer garden on a summer evening.....or a seat with your back to the big tile oven in the winter...and beer since 1431, they must be doing something right...right ?

Staid there during Oktoberfest.  Munich and surroundings had nothing available.  It was 15 minutes by taxi to the Augsburg train station and then we took the ICE train to Munich (took 30 minutes and cost 25 euros for 1st class).
The hotel has a great Bavarian atmosphere and the food is excellent very typical for the area with great tasting fresh beer.  The Hotel itself is fairly basic but very clean and comfy.
Note: don't stay past midnight without getting a key from the front desk...got locked out and couldn't get back into my room.  Lucky I had lots of beer in my rental car...

Very cheap, great location (easy to Augsburg and Munich) and food and typical Bavarian
