Neli and her husband took care of us as if we were family and were warmhearted and fun. Our room under the roof had access to a common area and balcony with a stunning view over the wine region and the mountains behind. The house is very tastefully furnished and clean. The homemade dinners were probably the best food we've eaten in entire Georgia, together with their homemade wine and we enjoyed beautiful chats with other guests until late at night. Neli's husband also offered to drive us around to visit some churches and wine cellars for wine tasting which was a great option for us. We didn't want to leave after those two days, that's how much we felt at home there. Thank you very much!!

Your home away from home in Telavi

A great place to stay. Nelly and her husband are great hosts.Nelly speaks very good English and provides excellent home cooked food. The room was spacious with a great view from the balcony and lovely shared lounge areas all around the house.

Great host, great food and lots of space

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Neli for 2 nights last month. We had pre arranged to have 2 evening meals and 2 day trips, I've got to say everything was fantastic.

The room we had offered great views and was comfortable.

The food that Neli prepared for us was unbelievably delicious, a highlight of our holiday.

Neli's husband (Marko I think) was our travel guide taking us around in a new and very comfortable Toyota.

Day trip one took us on a monestry tour, this was great as we toured the whole if the region and saw some fantastic sights.

Day trip two was all about the wine in the region, another fantastic day hopping from vineyard to vineyard.

The best thing was the people the hosts. Neli and Marko are lovely people. Neli speaks excellent English and looks after you as she would her children. Marko's English is limited to Beetles songs, but he too was a great bloke.

Highly recommended. 

Wonderful place, lovely hosts

The Hotel Neli is a clean and comfortable guesthouse in a quiet neighborhood that is a 10 to 15-minute walk from the business district and the Old Town in Telavi.  Our group of four stayed in the two top floor rooms of the guesthouse.  We enjoyed wine and fabulous views on the top floor's outdoor seating area.  

While the accommodations were very nice, the best part of our stay was the evening meal, which Neli prepared using many fresh ingredients from her garden.  During our two-week trip to Georgia, we ate at many fine restaurants, including Pheasant's Tears in Sighnaghi and Barbarestan and Cafe Littera in Tbilisi, but I thought Neli's cooking was the best we had in Georgia.

Good Accomodations, Wonderful Food

Having asked reception at the previous hotel to find out how much a room with air con and private bathroom would cost at Hotel Neli and being told it was 100 GEL we were naturally surprised to find on check-out after 4 days that it was 40% more. My wife showed Neli what reception had written down but this cut little ice although the bill was eventually reduced somewhat.
It was an unfortunate misunderstanding. Had we known this we would not have stayed there since, although not expensive by UK standards it certainly was by Georgian ones for what was on offer.
The owners, however, are extremely friendly and helpful, taking us to the bus station which is quite a hike away.  Hotel Neli is not central and towards the top of town up a steep hill.
It is not what I should consider to be a traditional hotel with reception but rather a guesthouse and seems to consist of two buildings - old and new.
We stayed in a compact room on the top floor with a sloping roof making one side lower than the other. It was clean and in excellent condition but had no wardrobe, just hooks on the wall, no table or TV, not that we wanted one, just two wooden chairs, perhaps because there was little room for them.
The view from the balcony was impressive as was the breakfast, but the room was not cleaned and we experienced a couple of problems with water supply and electricity cuts. I almost expected a discount when we left!
