We were lucky enough to spend the first and last nights of a week's self-guided walking holiday (superbly organised by High Point Holidays) at Domaine des Aloets. Moire is the smallest of the beautiful "Golden Stones" medieval villages in the Beaujolais area, and is very pretty. Domaine Aloets is a charming, small guest house situated on a vineyard, very picturesque, made of the local golden stone. The rooms and beds are comfortable, and the food delicious, served with wonderful beaujolais wine from the vineyard. However, what really made our stay memorable, was the warm, friendly welcome from Anne, who looked after us so well, and was so charming.
