We visited this hotel twice this year, the first time it was on spec as we wanted to be in the area for a couple of days. The second time we came back on our way back to Ireland specifically to enjoy the experience again. The hotel looks a little understated but the welcome was good and our room was very clean and had a view over the lake. It was possible to sit on the balcony and relax. The whole ambience was very restful and the food in the restaurant was top class. A limited menu but excellent. The only negative was the wi fi which was slow and unreliable but hey, who needs to work in these surroundings?
