On a Sunday night in Riquewihr many restaurants are closed. We were beginning to think that we were not going to find one that could take us until we are here. It’s at the top end of the town where the street narrows. We had the chicken fricasee and it was delicious. We had a very pleasant waiter who added to our experience. Would recommend!

Lovely meal in a quiet Sunday night 

An amazing experience !!!! We had one of the most amazing evenings in that restaurant. The service was excellent or should I say perfect, the food was amazing (escargots, rosti, munster and other cheeses and fromage blanc cake) and the atmosphere was very nice. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.

First top: Get a reservation if you want to be on the first floor. We did not have one and went to second floor. It is nice with original art but not as nice as ground floor. 

The service was great and the food was enjoyed by all four of us. I had the potatoe dish. This sounds mundane, but it was outstanding. 

We may return here one more time before we leave town.

Excellent food and service

We try to visit the Alsace every other year, and when we visit, going to the Dolder for lunch is on the agenda. It is conveniently located on the pedestrian street in the center of Riquewihr. 

We really enjoy their traditional tarte flambée for lunch. With a green salad, a couple of beers on tap, and a bottle of sparkling water, we recharge between the morning and afternoon's activities.

And if shopping is on the agenda, the Christmas decoration store, Käthe Wohlfahrt, is right across the street.

Very friendly owners and good service. Good quality food and nice local decor. We tried Choucroute Royale for two, which was an exciting experience. Food and place are very traditional Alsacian. Must try!

The Hotel is still being re-built following a disastrous fire on 1st January of this year, which gutted several properties in this part of town and so was not yet open, however, the Restaurant is.  We had an excellent meal there on Monday evening, there third night since re-opening.  Great atmosphere, very attentive staff and fully booked that evening.  Best Quiche Lorraine I have ever had. 

Riquewihr is a magical town, if you are passing that way, you must check out the Dolder Restaurant.

Just re-opened after disastrous fire

The whole village of Riquewihr feels like a fairy tale. Hotel Au Dolder is right in the middle of the main street. We had a very nice big room at the front. Don't worry, it's dead quiet at night.
The room and bathroom were cleaned every day, breakfast was fine and the restaurant was booked every night (we had to make reservations!). Great food too. And all this for a very reasonable price.
