What do you expect from a cheap hotel in Paris. Clean, not large and adequate bathroom. Staff are brilliant very helpful. Yes no lift but they do state that. What do you expect from a budget priced hotel. We just slept and showered there

We got the nice but very small room at good rate..this place is near to the station... Not so great but economic ... Lady at reception was helpful... Very basic Breakfast with a very small space...Coffee, croissant ,jam and butter, fruits ....

Super Budget stay

was expecting worse than what we arrived to. check in was stress free and hotel kept our bags for us until check in time. annoying that our room was on top floor and there was no lift, but it made for good views. room was basic but it was clean and cheap, and so we had no complaints. good, cheap way to explore paris as it is very close to a metro station. would go back if on a budget.

good if on a budget 

After reading others reviews I did wonder what we where going to stay in  well it is very basic ,but for the price you would not expect anything more ,rooms are small bed just big enough for two ,metal chair small glass top table small shower but really hot water each time , it is situated on a vert busy cross road junction for me it was another form of entertainment watching the traffic ,it is a great place if you just need a place to sleep close to the metro 2 minutes ,buses ,walking distance for some really goood resturants and cafes , you get what you pay for ,breakfast for 5 euros was ok seeing most bars and cafes charged 5euros for a coffee ,found the staff very helpful Maurad went out of his way to sort maps places to go went beyond what he should phoned England to see what was happening re transfer back to airport , if you stay her don't expect great stuff it is a low budget hotel suit students ,it is noisy but so are most places in Paris don't take a suitcase as this hotel has a spiral staircase and no lifts so rucksack is easier we where on the 6 floor so lot of stairs after being out all day the stairs are tough ,this is a budget hotel so don't expect the home comfort ,it is a bed a shower cleaned daily needs decorating and some repair a good place to explore Paris x

Short break

Firstly i know that its a cheap hotel so I wasn't expecting the ritz however what i was greeted with when i finally got into my room (141) after having to wrestle to unlock the door did shock me a little. 
-the smell of the room was disgusting, it reeked of cigarette smoke and urine, i bought some air freshener to try help a bit but the smell was horrid and no amount of spray will remove it. 
-room was very grubby. carpet had been patched together, windows were filthy, curtains were full of cobwebs, walls had various stains all over them, bed throws smelt like wet animals. 
- paint flaking off of roof and areas of walls looked like it had damp coming through. - wifi on 4th floor was really poor 
- i think there is a communal shower however i was given no information on this. An information sheet in the room would be great. The room i was in (141) had a single bed, a chair(full of grime), a side table, a tv (french only) and a toilet with a sink. -the area outside the hotel at night is pretty rowdy and having ventured out (to buy air freshener) i witnesses prostitutes working and pimps fighting so i wouldn't recommend it for families. 
In general the room was small but this is to be expected for the cost and of course being in paris a lot of rooms are small however if this room had a fresh lick of paint, fresh bedding and the bathroom modernized it would have been more pleasant but unfortunately as it was i found it to be the worst hotel room i have stayed in as it was more like i was squatting in an abandoned room from the 60s The staff were nice enough and the main stairway looked like it had been freshened up but the room was terrible.
