I had a really bad experience in this hotel. To tell the truth, for the price I payed it was the worst hotel I have ever been.
Nothing is like appears in the pictures. The hotel needs a serious makeover, as it is old and, most of all, it smell! On the first day I was put on a room that had a big smell of tobacco, you could hear everything from the streets. I asked to change but was told the hotel was full, but found out the next morning this was a lie. The second room was better, but the bathroom had an awfull, awfull smell of sewer. The carpet was full of stains. The ceilling had marks of humidity. The walls where also a disgrace.
The only positive point: the cleaning is good.

The third floor room I was given was excessively small. So small as not allow to open the hand luggage. The space between the small queen bed (smaller than average queen beds) and the walls/windows was inferior to half metre. Two people cannot stay in it. The restroom was so the smallest I've ever seen, the size of a cubicle or a boat WC; its door did not close and remained ajar. The room reeked of smoke, even if it was sold as non-smoking (there was an ashtray on a low stool). I was too tired, and the room was too dark (as it was badly lit), to pay attention to cleanliness, but judging from the smell it wasn't so clean. 
The windows are not sound proof so you get noise from the street; the walls are thin so you hear all that comes from the adjoining rooms. 
The only positive notes were the very gentle man at the concierge, and its position near the Pantheon. 

Very small room, unclean

We booked this hotel for our vacation including Paris. Arrived Friday afternoon and managed to get up to the 1st floor in 2 trips. It is a one at a time elevator circa 1950's. The room tiny. 2 tiny single beds. No a/c just fans and open window. 

I couldn't get into the shower and turn at all (I'm definitely large sized but its far smaller than my river cruise shower). 

We checked out and re-booked in the St. Germain de Pres area with the Holiday Inn.

They only have  2 Star rating on the sign on ghe hotel. For the price, 1 Star would be more suitable. Do NOT be fooled by the positive reviews. BTW, another couple was also checking out in front of us (4pm). Seemed to be a similar situation.

I was very concerned about staying here after reading the reviews (and because I have a favorite place on the other side of Luxembourg Gardens for not much more). But, my friend wanted to stay here given its proximity to Ile de France, etc. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I had what could have been a charming little room on the top floor -- complete with exposed and ancient beams and a typical view of the rooftops across the Latin Quarter. The high floor and back facing room meant it was quieter than I'd anticipated, but the walls were thin -- I could hear much of what was going on in the room below me. If you stay here -- bring slippers or a pair of socks. The rugs are very badly stained -- I don't know whether they were dirty -- but the stains on the carpet in my room and my friend's room were disconcerting. Water pressure and heat in the shower were good. For a really cold weekend, the room was cosy. We decided against the breakfast (in the lower level room) and went to a little creperie down the block. It is a great location. I don't think I'll stay here again, but for one night, it was perfectly acceptable. I would not stay here in the summer -- I can imagine how hot it would get without fans or air conditioning.

Rating based on this being a two star hotel

Room was very small but that's expected. Lift is tiny, for two people and it worked just fine. Room had a TV, small bathroom and well working shower. There was always hot water. Décor is out dated but decent. Room was very hot but windows you could open. We were there in January, low season so hotel wasn't full. the one night when we had neighbour in next room, we could here any sound. I could just imagine how noisy its in high season. Noise from the street is 24/7.  Breakfast was great! and more than enough! You have to wait for it to be served. You get plenty of coffee, juice, bread, cheeses, boiled egg if you wish, musli, jams... Only not meat. but that's ok. Room was cleaned every morning.

There's lots of character here and the local neighborhood is wonderful. My room was small enough that it just contained a double bed and enough space around it for a few wooden chairs and a small desk. Nothing wrong with this (its a 2 star after all) as long as you are not expected something else. I'll remember this place long after I've forgotten dozens of perfect chain hotel boxes. Good:  The bathroom worked fine; the hot water is hot and flows well; the desk service is competent, the WiFi worked and the bed was comfortable.  Bad: It was noisy at times. I smelled cigarette smoke once.  The heat was hard to adjust.

Great Location, OK

Airy two windows that open and close Large room for such a modest hotel, places to rest bags. Spare continental breakfast 8 € in a wonderful cave.  Excellent front desk.

Worn red carpet. Harsh lights no lamp shades. Bathroom nice size but shower stall is small phone booth size.  Same for elevator.

Great location and no smaller than average comp

Good location. BUT, the rooms were really small and the photos shown on the hotels' website are not actually what you find. It was really hot and the hotel did not have enough fans to provide us!! The breakfast was very poor....with the same price you can have a descent breakfast at the nearby caffes.The most disrupting thing though was the fact that you could hear whatever was hapenning to the next room of yours....that means no privacy at all. Would definitely NOT recommend it for holiday staying!!!!

Do not be fooled by the photos. The room we stayed in was only what I can describe like a dungeon from 1900’s. wallpaper was burnt from the lights, carpet and walls were dirty. Bathroom that you can barely move in. Will not be returning
