So if you read my reviews I tell no lies and I'm totally open minded... if you expect the Carlton or even a Hyatt this hotel is not for you!

What you will get is a fantastic little boutique hotel run by a family who will do everything to make your stay pleasant. Yes it has a noisy toilet, no fridge, parking difficult but ok after 6pm on the road. There's so much more to this hotel...

The hotel has a lovely terrace to relax, views of the castle, and is very clean with helpful staff. You are surrounded by more restaurants, bars 100m away you can't hear, a rail station to take you just about anywhere. 

I will be returning here, a fantastic find if you can deal with the 'rough round the edges'

Expectations...

I know the area and I know that rooms in restaurants and pubs here are fairly basic. 
Friendly greetings on arrival and heroic attempts to fix the TV in the tiny Room 6 were great. I didn't need the TV anyway. I did need some clothes hangers for the single open rail, which I asked for but didn't get. 
Finding out the restaurant was closed for the two days of my stay on arrival, so no breakfast availability,  was disappointing. 
At first glance room is just small,  but it became clear while using it that it is just TOO small.
I am 6'2" and 16 stone,  not obese but hefty. When I sat on the lavatory there was little room for manoeuvre. 
The shower is up a step and because the basin sticks out I had to enter and leave sideways. 
The electrics around it aren't finished and the plug doesn't work in the basin.
A piece of skirting beading had fallen off where the nails had rusted through exposing some sharp ends which were also covered in hairs and dust.
Few hairs in the shower to greet me as well once I had sidled in.
Bed was roomy and comfortable and linen and towels spotless,  the room rate was also very reasonable at a premium time. 
However basic physical access to washing facilities, overall size, maintenance and cleanliness of room was disappointing. 
I think this room is a bit of a left over and others could be better.

The host was friendly and helped us getting a taxi to the airport. The walls were very thin but luckily we didn't have any noisy neighbours. The hotel is literally next door to the train station, and there are many nice bakeries nearby too. Great location!

So close the the castle!

We were lucky to find accommodation in this hotel as most of the village was closed for the winter. After an initial misunderstanding with the booking we received the following day a lovely room with
a balcony (exactly like in the photos). Mr Olivier was very nice and tried to make our stay
as pleasant as possible.  I wish cigarettes were banned permanently as some smoke filtered all the way to the rooms.The hotel is situated opposite the chateau and very convenient for the beach, the train station and other amenities. The walk to Cannes was pleasant (8 Kms ) and so was the one to Theoule in the opposite direction. Enjoyed our holiday tremendously and although cold in November, the weather was dry with bright sunshine. The sky and sea had this eternal blue colour. 
We will definitely return as we have not tried the restaurant yet.

La Napoule - fermée pour l'hiver.

Cute hotel, by the castle and the harbour. really the perfect place for a romantic weekend. abot 40 minutes by bus to the town ( bus 20) quiet and cool, beautiful views and very romantic área.
Most tan recomendable!
