A friendly and traditional local hotel with an excellent restaurant.

PETIT RAFRAICHISSEMENT A PREVOIR.TRES CALMEPETIT DÉJEUNÉ EXCELLENT

This establishment is known primarily for its fantastic restaurant leaving the hotel business as more of an afterthought. The cleaners came 1/2 the time, and we encountered some rude staff members quite often.

You can find better

Not in centre ville, but an excellent location on the west side of the town, this hotel has comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast, and a wonderful restaurant downstairs. The minor negative is no elevator, so we always ask for a room on the first floor. The rooms are quiet and well equipped. This is the third time we've stayed here.

Uphill from centre ville, an excellent hotel choice

A small family owned and run hotel with a top class restaurant. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. You were made to feel welcome and not just a guest.Being slightly out of town parking and access were good.

Pleasant stay

we stayed here for one night on our way down to the south of france, we had dinner in the restaurant which was really nice then stayed upstairs. the room was a good size including a nice sized bath and great bath products, breakfast was plentiful but for the money we paid i would expect a little more. i think if you have a big dinner in the restaurant its nice to stay upstairs but as a hotel of its own its not that great....

Not bad but expensive.....

The Hotel Medicis is different !  Its not in the posh part of town,but its not in the dumps as some reviewers might want you to think. A ten minute walk for my wife and I [we are over 70] and you are at the Chateau in the old town. The Old Town is glorious, shops , buildings, the riverside,the centre of Blois is great. The hotel itself is a logis, it does not pretend to be anything else. The restaurent however is Michelin * class and the best Logis restaurent we have ever eaten in and we have eaten in dozens over the years, The family and their staff are a joy and cannot do enough for you. If you are going to the Loire to sight see, you can't do better than eat at the Medecis.

We were met at reception by a friendly hostess who spoke perfect English and was very helpful. We had a room on level 1 which was small but cozy and perfect for what we needed. No lift so you need to carry bags upstairs. 
Beds are harder than I would have liked but we still slept easily. Bathroom very clean. Room cleaned daily. 
10min walk to chateau de Blois, close to pharmacy and above the most devine restaurant which also offers room service!! We had a rental car so chateau Chambord was maybe 40mins away and same again for Chenonceau. 
Loved this place and would stay here again without hesitation.
