Hôtel Riviera

I was working at this years Monaco Boat Show and stayed here for 5 nights. The link to Monaco is a very easy train ride from the station which is a 5 minute walk away. The train is quiet in the morning to Monaco but be prepared for the a bit of a platform crush back in the evenings. As the train ride is only 8 minutes to Beaulieu su Mer you can easily stand for the trip if you don't get a seat. The Hotel is best suited to the quieter traveller which retains the peaceful atmosphere of the place. There is no catering but there is a breakfast room which has a coffee machine and kettle for you to make a drink. Usefully it has a fridge which is sectioned off into lockable compartments each with your room number on so that you can keep milk and any other items you want to keep cool. There is a supermarket close to the railway station and so you can stock up there with all the items you would need for a do it yourself breakfast. It works well. There are some really nice looking cafes a short walk away all of which are open in the evening and there are some places open in the morning for coffee if you want that but I preferred to buy bits and pieces from the bakery in that local supermarket. The room was clean and tidy and cleaned daily. The room was not large but the prices are very reasonable for the area and its clean. The owners are lovely people who give you a warm welcome and a map to find your way around the area. There are no downsides if you are looking for well priced and peaceful accommodation.
