A very friendly and helpful staff. A nice ”park like” area with a city sand beach on the site. All the facilities in a good condition. The public beach can be pretty busy but at the night time the area is very peaceful. Very close to the city centre (10 mins by bike) where there are nice restaurants, interesting museums and a Continental atmosphere. The only downside is the toilet/grey water disposal on a steepish slope. There is a pizzeria in the area, too, as well as a mini golf course.

Gröna Udden 5+

I have only been to a couple of camping sites in my life and compared to those I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Gröna udden. The beach looked lovely, but we only used the sauna area for swimming and it was perfect as well, even though I'm quite picky. The only downside were the steps leading into the water; they were old, slippery and wobbly and quite dangerous if you're not careful - please replace the steps and add a bannister! Also, one of the lamp cords in hut 3 was peeled out so that the wires were visible, which is not safe. Other than that, I have only good things to say about the place. The huts were adequately equipped (good pillows!) and I liked the common cooking area. The showers/toilets were also adequate. I would gladly return to Gröna udden in the future. Thank you for a delightful stay!

Above expectations

Beautiful place, we only slept there for one night, it was nice to wake up on the beach :) Mariehamn is so nearby and it was a short distance to the center. I recommend the place to others.
the car charging stations were very close to each other.

One night traveling place

Stayed one night. There is free parking nearby but you can also park the car near to your cabin (I preferred not to, too many people going by). The cabins are big and very, very clean. The cleanest I have seen so far. There is also a small kitchen. My cabin was number 18, at the very end meaning it would take me a long walk to reach the bathroom very time. The view was nice, with the forest and the sea nearby. Very peaceful.

The downside was the crowds. It was full of people, caravans and camping tents. The number of toilets and shower is not enough to accommodate all those people. The bathrooms get really crowded, with people waiting there or just coming in and out every second. Looking at that made me wonder what the point of months long border closure really was if you let people crowd in small bathrooms like that? I don't care but it is pointless in my view.

Also, it is not really fair to people who paid for cabins. I paid over 100 EUR for the cabin for one night and I have to share the bathroom with caravan and tents people who paid less than half of what I paid, and had to wait for them to use the toilet. I think those people should have their own shared bathroom.

Bathrooms are crowded

We stay here for the third summer. Great little beach. Fresh showers thats included in the tent fee. Quiet in night time. The reception  serves breakfast and pizza. Overall a great stay and i am pretty sure we are back next summer.

Great start on the vacation

There was no water at cottage and it was not resolved during my stay though promised at the reception.

We booked the cabin three days before arrival at July and we got last cabin which was available, I recommend to book a bit earlier.
There is bunk beds for four persons in cabin and kitchenette. Cabin was quite small but nice, no any odd odor or smell. It is allowed to cook in cabin but not to fry.
The beach is nice and the building with toilets and showers is clean. It takes only 10-15 minutes to walk to city center. I recommend to walk through the small nice island Lilla holmen.

Three night in cabin

Expensive,
2 adults and teltplace was 30€.
Here is nice kitchen and shower. Staff was kind and polite.

Second night there were svenskatalande teens and they played volleyball all night after 10 pm.
And then, in the morning we could not sleep after 7 am cause the finnish scouth team were screaming without careing theres other people on camp. Also.

Camping in summer

Located in Mariehamn, within easy reach of the city center and holds a great beach and facilities. The camping area had good spots for tents. Only minus was that you had to pay to charge any electronic devices such as phones.

Nice service

Silence rules are only written on paper. So if you go with your family with little kids - dont buy more than one night and test. Maybe we had a bad time to camp here. But still there wasnt stuff to keep the rules. There was other families too and one left at the night.
