Bete Abraham is one of the best hotel in Lalibela, owned by the Church. They have the best service and clean bedroom with affordable price. 
My visit to Lalibela was memorable thanks to the people at Bete Abraham especially to my local tour guide Deacon Eshetu assigned by the hotel. 

We were over the moon when we stumbled on this hotel in Lalibela. It is fairly new and the rooms are clean and well appointed. The bathrooms are very clean and unlike most other places we stayed in Ethiopia had no tiles missing/broken appliances! The restaurant served a great breakfast with a lot of choice, as well as a very nice dinner - although the service is a bit slow. There is also free wifi in the reception area! Location-wise it is about 15 minutes walk up a hill to the entrance to the churches complex in Lalibela, and very near other restaurants/hotels that serve food as well as many souvenir stalls. I understand that the road is also due to be paved very soon, which will definitely be a bonus! The price was extremely reasonable and included breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Bete Abraham is a quiet, peaceful hotel with a lovely, bird-filled garden. It is situated on the edge of town away from all the hustlers and touters of the town centre, but its still just a short bajaj ride away from anywhere you need to get to. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, the place is scrupulously clean, the showers always have hot water, and the dining room is fairly good - it's a real tonic to sit outside among the trees for breakfast of coffee, omelette or kita with local honey. Definitely one of the best-value hotels in the area.

Their service was amazing,they made a bone fire just for us to enjoy! The reception was very nice to us! I really think people should visit it! The food service was good the manager helped us with all our problems. The rooms are beautiful ,wonderful.

I stayed here for two nights, during the low season. The room was quite simple but perfectly clean, with a good bathroom en suite. Personal is very helpful. I found the restaurant quite good as well. The hotel is situated about 10-15 minutes walk from the church clusters.

i have been in this hotel for aqbout 3 days and i like it because it was quite, however it makes me very tyered to go to the churches since it is a bit far from the UNSCO sits.
The  staffs are ok, but it should be modfy for the future.

The service was decent so that's something positive about this hotel. It also had (at the time) a working credit card machine. 

Otherwise, please stay somewhere else. There's no air conditioning or even a fan. You can't leave the windows or doors open to get a breeze because there's no security. Mattresses were awful and we spent a long, hot, sleepless night there. 

Food was not great either.

Look elsewhere for a nice hotel

No hot water, and the small running water electrified us.
No flush water in the toilet

Bed mattress too stiff to lay in
