JAZ Neo Saraya Palms Hotel

This was our first trip to Makadi bay. Booked the hotel directly through the hotel's website and got a great price. On arrival at 1:00 a.m. in the morning with only one couple in front of us we had to wait approximately 1 hour to check in. We have no idea why this took so long to actually allocate two rooms. Finally got into the rooms which were absolutely massive and we booked a two-bedroom suite and a one-bedroom studio. The two bedroom suite can easily sleep eight people at a push one bedroom having one king size bed and the other bedroom having two king size beds. There was a pull out sofa in the lounge. Massive bathroom. Second room with toilet and bidet. Lovely terrace overlooking all the wonderful gardens which I have to say were immaculately manicured. There are two pools, one a relax pool which is nice and quiet and the second one for kids and daytime activities. Both have pool bars and the service at the Relax pool was wonderful. Ash was continuously on hand to serve drinks throughout the day. We used the restaurant everyday for both breakfast, lunch and evening meal throughout the week. They was a good selection of food on offer and this never felt repetatuve. There was a beautiful upstairs bar opened in the evening which was lovely and relaxing. However, the evening entertainment wasn't great. At both the pool bar and the upstairs bar, there was a great selection of drinks included in the all-inclusive menu with some branded spirits with a charge. Great selection of cocktails and mocktails. Freshly squeezed juices and other fruit juices were also available. There was a mini bus every hour to the beach and back which was great. This was probably a 15 minute walk if you wanted to walk. At the beach there was a good bar service and a food court for all the hotels in the area. The sea was nice and the beach was clean and you weren't hassled with sellers All in all the holiday exceeded our expectations as this was our first time in this part of Egypt. It definitely gives turkey and run for its money.
