I have been to the Dominican Republic more then 25 times and have traveled the entire country from one end to the other. I have stayed in many resorts, guest houses, Airbnb‘s all over the island. With that said, the listing for this guest house/hotel/hostel is VERY misleading. The pictures on Priceline clearly show an air conditioner in the room. It does not say anywhere in the listing that your room will not have an air conditioner and that you will have to pay an additional fee for a room with an air conditioner. When you see pictures of a room and there is clearly an air conditioner shown,  the assumption is that the room will have an air conditioner. BEWARE, no air conditioner and NO screens to leave the doors open at night. 
Read ALL of the fine print. And even when you read the fine print when you get to the hotel it is a different story. Upon arrival at the hotel we were told that we were required to pay cash for the entire stay. This is not listed in any part of the reservation. It clearly shows in the reservation that the amount of 50% of the reservation was charged and the other 50% would be due via a bank transfer. This is not the case though. The extremely RUDE owner of this hotel will demand that you pay him in cash. There is NO other way to pay. He claims that he would have to pay too much in tax if he took the money via bank transfer. This has never happened to me before at any hotel in the Dominican Republic. If you say ONE word to the owner, he will huff and puff and follow you around and make your stay miserable. Our bathroom was terrible with sink clogged and broken toilet seat. Slippery floor as water splashes out of the shower everywhere. When I let the owner know that there was no hot water,  the man went around and knocked on everyone’s doors and asked them to run the water to see if it was hot. What I was told was that I should let the water run for five minutes and then it will get hot. Whatt?? Ridiculous! We did not want breakfast but ordered coffee. In the middle of drinking our coffee the owner stepped up to the counter and pounded on the counter and in front of everyone said “make sure you know that coffee is a dollar but coffee with milk is $1.50! I was appalled. Don’t stay here! You don’t feel safe with the owner who is clearly a little “off”. There are tons of mosquitoes and no way to get air with no screens. The bathroom doors in the rooms made such loud noise all day and night and were quite bothersome. So many nicer places to stay with owners who will come and offer you fresh fruits from their property and even invite you for FREE coffee. Unless you are French or speak/understand French and can understand what the owner says when he storms around yelling and screaming, DON’T STAY HERE!

Beware! Read Carefully! Bring cash! Be ready for the owner!

This is a very relaxing place in Las Galeras, with excellent rooms and an awesome pool. It is located very close to the town centre and the main beach (5min walk). We liked it a lot.

The owner - Remi - is very friendly and super helpful. He really tried to do his best to help out with excursions and tours during our stay there.

Relaxing stay

Nice place where to stay. Close to the beaches, restaurants and bars. Very good and healthy breakfast.
Beautiful garden and clean room. The hotel is surrounded with Avocado trees and Mango trees and a lot of flowers.  Thanks Remi and your family

Fantastic

Our family stayed at this hotel for 6 days in February and were very pleased. The rooms are simple but very clean. Ours had a lovely balcony with a view of the pool and the beautiful grounds. The location can't be beat: about 100 metres from the main intersection of town and a two minute walk to the beach. The owner, Remi, was friendly, attentive and very helpful, getting us good deals on excursions and taxis. He serves a wonderful breakfast in a charming dining hut every morning for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

A great, inexpensive place to stay in Las Galeras!

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The rooms are clean, the owner very friendly, and the pool is great. We were just missing and Aircondition since it got very hot during the night. But overall, the place provides a great value for money ratio.

Great value for money

Simple, clean, comfortable rooms with private bathroom and with balcony for sea breeze.  AC available, but not necessary.  Located off the main street, making for quiet retreat.  Nice pool.  Breakfasts were wonderful! The owner and his wife are good cooks and if you are lucky they will make you dinner for an additional fee - well worth it!!  Thank you, Remi!

Relaxing Retreat in Paradise!

Remi, the owner, has built an interesting B&B within a 100 meters of the beach in Las Galeras.  Rooms are clean and spacious for price.  Also there is a large, deep pool that all accommodations face.  I was here in off season, so I literally had the place to myself.  I suppose there are about 15 rooms in the small complex.  Grounds are nice and lush with vegetation (mango trees, palms, flowers).  For price, value is solid and Remi is an interesting gentleman.
