This hotel is exceptional. Great location with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. It’s is it’s own small square the “Ungelt”. This was for merchant security and protection in the 17th century. It adds to the allure in the 21st century. Rooms are large, bathroom with huge bathtub and shower. A/C works very well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They will know you name right away. Can’t recommend Hotel Metamorphis enough

I had there really good stay, there is good location,Charles bridge just ten minutes walk from this lovely hotel, Old town square around two minutes, good restaurants near by, friendly hotel staff, definitely recommend!!!!!!


Good stay

Really great location. Good breakfast in linked hotel. Our room up 3 flghts of stairs so would not suit all. Rooms clean, bright and airy. Beds comfy.Stayed 4 nights. Had o close windows as it was noisy 3/4 nights....but same for other nearby hotels as sonear bars etc.

Bright

Great location just 100m off the Old Town Square overlooking a nice little square - that wasn't noisy due to the excellent double glazing. Had a wonderful room (suite!) with a huge bed, seating area and a magnificently painted ceiling - it was actually the one shown in their brochure. The staff were very helpful and arranged taxis to/from the airport for a reasonable price. The Bernard Beer Spa in the basement of the hotel is unusual and great fun - sitting in a mash tun made for two, while drinking beer ... and they assured me that they don't use your bathwater to start the next brew ;-) . We were there over Christmas - Prague is a lovely place to visit at that time of year, and the Old Town Square has a good market with plenty of festive fare.

Great location, wonderful room ... and a Beer Spa in the basement

We just stayed at this excellent hotel.  Location to old town center is minutes away.  We stayed in room 28 as we had requested a triple with an extra real bed.  We felt like we were in a suite.  Hotel reception was courteous and helpful. Room was very comfortable.  Double windows helped close off noise of street and bells from Church or it might have been quite noisy.  Breakfast was plentiful.  Only negative was internet was very poor and inconsistent. Perfect spot for Christmas market visit. 

Awesome location, lovely stay

First, reading the Trip Advisor reviews, there appears to be a lot of confusion about this hotel. I did look at the photos & this was the hotel that we stayed at.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights in early June. The Hotel was quite nice,…once you found it, and if you were driving a rental car like we were, it was quite an adventure just finding the place. Once we actually got to the hotel it was good. The staff, Honza & Barbara were wonderful. However,…there is NO elevator & we are heavy packers. Our room was very nice,…but it was on the 4th floor.

Honza was especially great helping me get the luggage to/from our room. The paid parking was several blocks away from the hotel (lots of 1-way streets), getting the car to the underground parking was another adventure. Honza was great assisting me on the morning we left Prague, heading to Vienna. The local restaurants were good. Honza recommended a very good 5-6 hr guided tour of the city, which was very good. Our guide Susanna was excellent.

One other thing that I want to mention, & this has nothing to do with the hotel. Lots of young people partying in downtown Prague, which is fine with me. But, in the early morning when I went out to walk there was a tremendous amount of trash, beer bottles/cans, paper, food wrappers, etc. Not a good look for downtown Prague & the young evening party folks. We didn’t see anything like this in Nuremberg or Vienna.

Hotel Metamorphis, Old Town, Prague

The Metamorphis Hotel in Prague is a nice stay. Located in the very best square of the city, the Hotel offers very comfortable beds and rooms, okay breakfast and a proactive gentle crew to receive it's guests. However, the WiFi is quite poor inside it's rooms. It's speed is slow and it's signal is limited to a small area near the door. In the corridors and reception we could have a better experience with the WiFi connection.

The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, price-quality was excellent, but unfortunately some minor bumps on the stay. 

The location of the hotel is within a block from the main square in the old town, Tyn 10 has a great courtyard and hotel itself is old, with big rooms. 

Our family liked the stay, the old rooms were stylish and very comfortable for our whole family and beds were good. 

However, after midnight once the nearby restaurants had closed, many customers stayed in the streets, playing, goofing off, kicking trash cans, using plastic bottles as drums. And since noise carries itself easily to 1st floor, so we woke up after midnight as well as in the early mornings with the trash collection. Perhaps something that the hotel could have taken into consideration or given us a heads up about the street noise. 

The other thing was the missing hot water. For a full day we did not get warm water and were informed only after we complained about it. We were offered a possibility to shower in another hotel room, but again, something that the hotel could have proactively inform us. 

Otherwise, a good stay and nice enough to let us enjoy Prague old town.

Fantastic location in the Old town, big rooms but some minor disappointments

We stayed at the Metamorphis Hotel 6 times but it now The Julian Hotel . The Metamorphis Excellent is not the same star rating. We stayed in room 116 in a building where we had to cross a court yard then down steps to get in the reception area then across another courtyard to get to the breakfast room which was then down a steep stone spiral staircase, fortunately the weather was kind to us but if it was snowing or raining it would of been quite a hike for breakfast.
Also are room 116 had a horrendous sewage smell which I reported two days running to a very uninterested and unhelpful receptionist. Nothing was done about it . Certainly will not be staying here again .
